Chelsea: Cech; Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Cahill, Cole; Luiz, Ramires; Oscar, Mata, Hazard; Torres. Spurs: Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto; Parker, Huddlestone; Lennon, Holtby, Bale; Adebayor. I would have chosen Carroll over Hudd and Gylfi over Lennon, the former because I'm afraid he's too slow, the latter because he's not fit. Rolling the dice with Huddlestone. Makes both sides likelier to score. Audere.
I was looking at who Lennon has to pass the ball to..on the rare occasions he isn't dicking about on the wing rather than getting in the box. Still, at least Dempsey doesn't start...
No defoe...no dembele...a half fit lennon...ade up front...I feel really really sick... apparently torres has gone 1011 mins without a prem goal so guess who is more likely to remember they are are a meant to score...ade or torres? thin k I will go lay in a dark room listening to calming whale music until after it's all over
For games like this, I like to be inspired by the words of a certain military genius...
I agree with you Colin. I don't know if I can take watching this game. I have extremely low expectations so maybe that will make it more bearable. I don't know if I'm looking forward to it, I actually feel sick.
I'll be doing something more relaxing for the next two hours - mushrooms and Silent Hill 2, for example...
We're all nervous - might I recommend watching this though - close your eyes and it'll pump you up for it. Dempsey not starting is a massive bonus, however, huddlestone starting is. His lack of mobility worries me. I'm glad to see terry isn't playing though. It's like a curse when he plays.
awesome! Makes me want to watch 300 or return of the king though. On second thoughts.....that might be a better idea than the Chelski game!
Hazard mata and side show bob could give us a bad bad night. Evrything will depend on us getting an early goal...hitting them on the break...ade holding the ball up...maybe the crowd will turn on rafa again but in all honesty I see nothing positive for us in this match
I will watch it, it's just 99 out of 100 times Spurs let me down in situations like this. That's why City in 2009 was so amazing. Here's hoping for that 1 in 100 tonight!
If both teams play to their best Chelsea will win simple as that. Football can throw up surprises though however unlikely. We need some Bale magic that's for sure.
Somebody better be playing this in the dressing room!
Absolutely bloody atrocious so far, I've had enough of this, we don't deserve champions league and never will.
