Announcement on Radio2 that SAF will retire at the end of the season.

Will he really, or is it a way of motivating his side before taking on the might of Swansea City:emoticon-0105-wink:

Good thing is Blackmoore was on radio earlier saying he was certain SAF would not be retiring.

Either way it will no doubt motivate Man Utd to see him off with a bang. We will have to be on top form to get anything at the best of times. Eeeek!

Yeah it seems official now, its going to be tough to take anything from the MU game but breaking news like this must start putting doubts in the Manchester players heads as to their future and future manager so maybe we can take advantage. Good possibilty they will play it like a cup final too though so he can do his Press conference as a winner.

Wouldn't it be fantastic to get a result out of this final game at Old Trafford with him in charge ? Regardless of that though the Swans will be his final opposition at home. A little bit of history and pub trivia question in years to come.

It will have zero effect because accounting for Fergie time his retirement date is 17th September 2016.

He watched our second half and thought 'it's too much, how do you beat the mighty Swans? How will Phil Jones et al cope with Schechter? That's it I'm off!'

First Margaret Thatcher dying and now Sir Alex Ferguson retiring. Somewhere in Liverpool, a scouser has a magic lamp with one wish remaining.

One thing is sure, if we play anything like we did in the first half against Wigan we will get hammered. God we were awful!

Yes. This game is Fergies last at old Trafford and therefore will be HUGE.

The Utd players will want to go out (figuratively)with a bang at home so if they on top of their game and show anything like the first half display last night ,then god knows what the score will be , but on the other hand I'm going for a 1-2 win to us just to spoil the party atmosphere

Bobby brown shoes for Everton manager and the relegation battles that will result <laugh>

Isn't it refreshing to have a manager leave a club, and our manager isn't one of the favourites being touted to take over :D
