Ferguson loves winning and has rubbed off on every player he kept for more than 5 mins. it didn't last as not one has made a manager (yet, not even solskjaer and especially not hughes and bruce) but you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear. he adapted to every ear and saw off every challenge from any manager you care to mention. We must say though... a underperformance in europe in the 90s and early 2000s certainly when there was not reason to do better.
