Dunno, but I saw a dead squirrel earlier. Rigor mortis had set in and it looked like it had died whilst trying to scratch its balls
McShane and Simpson at a push. The rest i wouldnt bother. Rosenior isnt good enough for the top of the championship, never mind the premier league.....
Completely agree with this Faye can lead "cup" squads (not wasting first teamers) McShane offers cover at CB/RB and could be a squad player Rosie would be back up RB (think we will get Elmo as first choice) Simpson again for cup squads but also something of a back up. None should be on massive wages (I know McShane was) so worth it for depth in squad
mcshane -yes rosenior-yes Faye-yes Simpson-no he isn't good enough and probably needs to drop to league 1 in hope he can rediscover his goal scoring ability
Open to opinion i suggest that one. Certainly Rosie is a vital cog for us and is a player who wants to play for us. Steve Bruce has already said that most of the players he signs in the summer will be young - hungry and with a point to prove. Even the likes of say Phil Neville and Kevin Davies have points to still prove.
Neville and Davies sorta fail there on the "young" requirement, their chance for proving anything has long gone, and would just be dead wood and a last payday for them, so for that reason, Happy Clapper says "no!".
Rosenior isn't very good. He can't beat his man and he can't cross. He is a decent defender but going forward he offers very little. You could tell on saturday that he was always a step behind all the rest of the players! Yes he is a really nice guy and says all the right things to the press and to the fans but on footballing ability he just isn't good enough for the premier league! There is a good reason he hasn't been in the prem for quite a long time!!
rosenior could hold his own in the premier league playing as a right back , he was class the other season and would of been a regular for us had we played 442 which i suspect we might end up playing next season.
Have you compared McLean when he's rushed compared to when he's got time to think about things? You only need to replace them if they contributed something to the season. Take Oxley, Devitt, McKenna, Cullen and Olofinjana for example. What meaningful involvement have they had in the first team this season? I've not checked, but I'd be surprised if they've played more than a handful of games between them. If they go it doesn't weaken the squad or require replacements, it just saves wages that we can offer to new players to strengthen this season's squad.
Sorry but if you think Rosenior is a poor player you have an extremely limited knowledge of football. He was one of our best players last season and would walk into a 4-4-2 city team. The fact that he played prem at all indicates he is a good player, especially as he played nearly 100 games. I, along with many others thought he was great on Saturday, as he allowed elmo to play a much more effective role and overlapped seamlessly.
