With Moyes appointed, I dont think anyone will expect us to win the league next year. Though what would be tricky is IF we were not to qualify for the champions league. .

That said if we do strengthen this summer in key positions you never know what might happen. Though if Mourinho ends up at chelsea i'd expect them to actually challenge next season.

An agent (I know) but usually spot on. He was shocked but said it was done.

Moyes as the manager of makes me feel a bit underwhelmed. Would have rather we had taken a swing at luring Klopp away from Dortmund, coughing up the cash for Mourinho, or taking a chances on Solksjaer. Regardless if he does get appointed as the next manager he'll get my full support.

Solksjaer?!?! Really?!? Can't imagine anyone wanting him as manager at this stage of his career. Moyes at least has experience and proven in the P.L.

If it is Moyes it seems a good fit. Risky? Of course but so would any appointment after Fergie, even Jose.

Klopp will be on a lot of people's radar but still no P.L experience and could he be another AVB (who did wonders at Porto but failed in his step up)?

Im not sure why you feel underwhelmed mate, I think it's a good choice, built from the same cloth, same area, isn't afraid to speak his mind, apart from Ole he would be the only one to work well under Fergies tutelage. I agree Klopp would be a choice but not sure if he wants to leave Germany. But I for one will look forward to the challenge and as Clayton Blackmore said earlier, we can only grow more and I agree

  14. I love ITK news! Most of them have turned out to be complete howlers, of course.

If it is true that Moyes is going to United, it will be the biggest mistake ever made in footballing history. it will be beyond a joke. We didn't even want Moyes at Spurs! Fergie actually did something before he joined United, and proved that he had true winning ability, and he did it with a team far inferior to the one that Moyes has been managing at Everton. Look how 'Pool has turned out with Brendan Rodgers; he's turned them into another Swansea. Moyes would turn United into another Everton.

A part of me wants this to be true, because it would mean the end of the domination of the EPL by United.

  17. Well, this is what David Gill has said:-

"In Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex we got in managers who got involved in all aspects of the club. That degree of loyalty is crucial to the success of Manchester United. He (the next manager) needs the required football experience in terms of domestic and European requirements, so it is a small pool."

    "domestic and European requirements..."

Does that really sound to you like he's talking about Moyes?

What has Moyes done domestically (compared with Mourhino)?

What has Moyes done on the European stage (compared with anyone)?

The answer is very simple. Nothing.
