Hope you can beat Watfraud and get to Wembley - next season wouldn't be the same without our mutual banter :D

You would have thought all loans were until the end of the season, whenever that is for each club. Not that we need Danns or Beckford back right now.

Presumably there is no limit on 'foreign' loan players for the play offs?

Apologies for the random '2whitestripes' post - didn't check who was logged in, doh!

I'm going to be very mardy if Watford loan themselves a new keeper.

There is some truth in that but Abdi, Anya, Forestieri, and Deeney are very fast and you then could be too static.

I think you have to push Watford back and stop Chalobah from distributing the ball.

Yeah, everything seemed to run through Chalobah in our game the other week. I think you have to go with three midfielders.

One to get in Chalobah's face and the other two (while off the ball) protecting the defence and when we've got the ball we need to keep hold of it and let James play.

Personally I think James is a less talented Chalobah.

I'd stick to a 4-4-2. using watfords (and hulls) system does have its advantages however if we use the width of the pitch well enough we can create some 2-on-1 situations which will drag their central players out of position. RDL/Knocky on the right and schlupp/dyer on the left with nugent and wood also pulling wide at right times can leave plenty of gaps to capitalise on. got to make the pitch big, keep our shape and they'll lose theirs.

By the sounds of that we would be better of bring Danny Drinkwater into the midfield and trying to boss the game from there. Nigel has alot of options but I think for the home game especially we should be thinking more about what we do rather then what they will do. Try and get a lead and take it their place and then worry about stopping them.

Read the rules. We only have 2 loan players. The players from Udinese and Granada are classed as temporary transfers.

There still loan players. You have found a loophole through the system which has rightfully been closed for next season

While I wouldnt say you have cheated as you did it in the rules if the boot was on the other foot you wouldnt be pleased if other teams did it

A temporary transfer is what the loan system is meant to be.

    Shameful bending of the rules.

I wouldnt have a problem with it. If it is within the rules and you are smart enough to take advantage of it then so be it. There is no loophole, it is the rules, and it will have to be the same next season. They cannot stop it happening altogether as it would be a restraint of trade/movement of goods contrary to EU Law.

Its not bending them at all. Its as legal as scoring a goal.

Personally I think the whole loan system needs to be looked at - and this is nothing to do with the Watford situation. It doesn't seem right to me that a team can effectively acquire another player for a season from another club - particularly when in the same division.

Take Lukaku - West Brom's leading goalscorer and a club that may well finish in the top 10 of the Prem this season to a large degree by virtue of his performances - additionally his goals have no doubt improved his parent club's (Chelski) league position but he is not allowed to play against them - so every other club has to come up against a very good striker who costs them points when he probably wouldn't have played against them if remaining with the parent - Such arrangements inevitably favour the bigger clubs i.e ones that can afford to have such quality as 'squad' players.

I think the loan system should be an emergency situation only - max two months at any one club and as cover for an injury to an existing player.

If you really like the player in his emergency loan spell - go put in a bid at the next transfer window.

A transfer is designed to send one player to another club under the contract the buyer gives to the player. He belongs to the 'buyer'.

A loan is designed to send one player to another club temporarily under the contract the 'seller' gives to the player. He belongs to the 'seller'.

What you're doing is between the two so you can play more loan players in each game than you're meant to be allowed.

It's bending the rules, but obviously its 'legal'. You're exposing a loophole the F.A. have failed to cover.
