Well with Wigan losing tonight just need Chelsea to beat Villa on Saturday and us to beat Southampton and that will be us playing Premier League football next season. As long as Chelsea beat Villa a draw against Southampton may well be enough, can't see Wigan beating Arsenal so they will probably end up with 38 points at best. Still think that final relegation spot will be between Wigan and Newcastle. All depends what they do against QPR
If Wigan lose next Tuesday at Arsenal we are safe but lets party on sunday by beating Soton and do it ourselves!.
I cant see Wigan winning their last 2 games (if they beat an Arsenal team going for champions league places at the Emirates there is a rabbit off in a betting scam) and 3 points v Villa wont be enough imo. I think we are safe. If the mags lose their last 2 games by say 1 0 each and Wigan lose 1-0 at Arsenal and then beat Villa by a couple of goals, that goal difference will come into play. If we lose both our games 1-0 our goal difference keeps us out of it. Wigan will now be looking a the QPR game in Sunday more than ours imo. That point last night looks priceless now.
