Rhodes from Blackburn or Wood from Leicester?? maybe cost to much dont think we will shell out more than £3 mill on any one player

If I was Bruce and I was given £10million to spend on transfers alone, i would look at: Simon Moore, Gk - £1.5 million Vito, Gk - £1 million Maynor Figueroa, CB/LB - Free Dwight Tiendalli, RB - Free Liam Bridcutt, CDM - Free (don't think he will renew if Brighton stay down ) Bakary Sako, LW - £2.5 million Elmo, RW - £1.5 million Will Grigg, ST - Free Charlie Austin, ST - £2.5 million Le Fondre, ST - £2.5 million That's a total of 10 quality players, and if my valuation of players (judging on league, and length of remaining contract) is correct only costing us £11.5 million (Would expect Bruce to get around that much) As well as this renewing contracts of Rosenior and McShane, will leave a squad off: Gk's - Moore, Vito, Jakupovic RB's - Tiendalli, Rossy, Elmo CB's - Chester, Figueroa, Hobbs, McShane, Bruce LB's - Dudgeon, Figueroa, Brady CDM's - Meyler, Bridcutt, Quinn, Cairney CAM's - Aluko, Brady, Sako, Elmo, Boyd, Quinn, Koren ST's - Austin, Le Fondre, Grigg, Fryatt, Proschwitz
add another cm and cb(get rid of bruce), replace sako with some one better (no avaible names spring to mind) and that is a good squad that have a chance of keeping us up
not bad at all...I reckon we'll see a couple of Man U loans and maybe an Egyptian based on SB's contacts
Imagine the negotiations for 60% of these players (allowing that we wouldn't get 30% and we wouldn't be interested in the other 10%): Bruce: "So (insert name) we'll give yers as canny a deal as you'll get anywor in the EPL; 3yrs on 25 thoosand a week, but yer nar there's gunna be a relegation clause." Player: "But aint Haall one of the faayvrits to gaaw daaan?" Players agent: "Yes my client is correct. However we would be willing to accept say...5yrs on £50,000 and of course without the relegation clause." Player: "Yer that saaands bedda." Bruce: "Howay man ger-oota wor office ya greedy bastadz!!!!"
City now being linked with Curtis Davies from Birmingham. I really rate him a a defender and have im on a list i made of possible transfer targets (sad I know). However I'm not sure on the £3 million price tag the Telegraph are quoting, especially when his contracts expires in 2014! Actually £4 million they are saying, however with the desperate situation Birmingham are in like others on here i would be surprised if it is more than £2 and £2.5/3 at an absolute push!
Donny beat me to it but article is here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/hull-city/10042328/.html
I think Davies would be a good signing! Quick, tall and can read the game! Even at £3m, although I think £1.5-2m would be better value.
