You don't think. Remember the season under Souness and countless others. Much the same was said of us. Let's go beat Sunderland and then we can relax properly.
A draw wouldn't change our life much, but it would obviously be pretty big to Wigan. Would have been more fun if an outfield player had to go in goal...oh well.
Forgot all about the Wigan - Swansea game, as I was tracking something on ebay. However, I've just seen the result, and I think anything upto half a dozen teams owe Swansea a nice thank you. EDIT: Just saw a BBC webpage with the match showing a full time icon. Now it says latest score..! Ouch..!
Except for the bit where they're down to 10 men, down a goal, and unable to mount any real attacks in the past twenty minutes. They might draw; cannot see them scoring twice.
This battle to avoid relegation is surely going to take more twists and turns before we finally know who goes down.
Agreed, but if the result stays the same then we have made a big step tonight. So many team (including us) still in it though. The table when Wigan was winning was just incredible.
So long as this remains the final outcome, I can potentially see our game vs Sunderland going from an incredibly nerve-wracking and vital match, possibly quite end-to-end, to being a dull, boring 0-0 draw. With Spurs to come, Sunderland could play the percentages and bank on Wigan not beating Arsenal - and thus a draw vs us would be enough for them.
Not posted for ages, because of some problems at home, but this result is hugely important. Amazing how far we have to be staying up in the Prem (I know, not mathematically yet) but still, cannot wait for next season and COYR!
