The D is only for penalties DMD, so that they're equal length from the ball.

I'd like Wigan to stay up, they're a real David v Goliath story - always like the underdog! But you're right that defending was plain dreadful. As bad as our infamous 'comedy' defending away at Huddersfield a few years ago!

I realise that. i just thought with the ball being on the spot, 10 yds would be to straight in front on the goal line and off the goal line nearer the goal posts.

Relying on having a really good finish to every season so you stay up doesn't always work then

I'd rather Wigan stayed up, because they are so ****e they'd make us look good. And I fear we'll need all the help we can get.

The goal line is deemed as the farthest point so all defenders on the line.

There's still Norwich, Swansea, Cardiff, West Brom, Sunderland, Newcastle. Swansea will I think lose some players this summer - clubs already linked with Williams. I'd also be amazed if they can hang onto Michu.

Not that it matters, nor that I disbelieve you, but do you have a link to that law? I could see it if the kick was nearer than 10yds, but (without trigonometry) to call it the goal line makes it nearer 15yds at the edges and 12yds at the closest.

I haven't seen it but he'll have marked out 10 big paces and been too lazy to both curving it at the sides.

If it really was on the penalty spot then forcing them back to the line is ridiculous.

Haven't a link sorry mate, just going by what i've seen on T.V. Noticed in one match when the ref was pacing it out, it came to less than 10 paces and they was all on the line.

We're all ignoring the Swans fan at work today for his side spoiling the end of the season for everyone else. He just keeps laughing.

Swans are pussies. Watch out for the old bill, it's treason to piss a swan off.
