Can I just wade in here with a truly neutral view of the event? Goal should have stood in my opinion. Nothing really happened in the box. Reina ran into Anichebe who was watching the ball the whole time and never really moved into Reina's path or anything. Didn't see anything wrong elsewhere either. If the goal was given straight away I'm sure you'd all complain how Reina wasn't commanding enough and just fell on his arse at the slightest bump.
the replay clearly shows Anichebe trying to get at Reina and Enrique holding him off and then he moves into Reina's path and blocks him off, its in the replay, Anichebe was not static and Reina ran into him, he moved to block him off, he shifted into Reina's path and checked him ever so slightly you cna see Anichebe move and then stop just in front of Reina, that's a block, you can clearly see him block Reina off, the video shows that. You probably need to look at the video again and see him trying to inhibit Reina, failing and then moving to block his back peddling to get the ball, Anichebe moves, and stops to block reina, its so obvious and the ref saw it. Just because Anichebe did an OK job of trying to look like he was not intent on blocking, hindering reina it doesn't mean he didn't do it, he clearly did
Utter garbage. Reina fell over - the end. The referee saw him fall & assumed he'd been fouled, he wasn't & therefore his call was wrong. You won't agree due to your bitterness refusing your pea brain the option of balanced perspective on the issue, so I don't even know why I'm replying tbh.
Only just got back on after the weekend and can't be bothered reading through, so apologies if I'm just repeating what others have said. It looked like a goal to me, just like the disallowed goal that would have won us the Goodison game. We're always told these things even out over time. That's usually a sort of vague concept that depends on your point of view, in this instance it seems to have worked out rather neatly. The only bad thing is that we've both ended up with two points rather than three.
Are you kidding me? If anything he's pushed into Reinas path by the defender! All the other movement is him trying to get the right side of his marker. I've not spoken to anybody so blindly biased in a while. Can't wait for next season when I'll be able to be biased back to you! EDIT: Watch it from behind ~25 seconds into the video. He's clearly being pushed around by Enrique. Also you've just admitted Enrique was holding him, which is OK? But Anichebe getting in the way of the keeper (accidentally or intentionally) isn't? Are you saying it shouldn't have been a goal but should have been a penalty? Now I'm confused.
Where is he going? Not to the ball. He's trying to get to Reina, the only possible reason being to block him off, and which the referee had just had a word to him about. If he hadn't been a stubborn moron and listened to the referee then Reina probably wouldn't have got to the cross anyway and the goal would have stood.
pretty much the case, Everton's own player cost them the goal cos Reina was not getting to the ball if you ask me laughing at DP saying Enrique is pushing him, Enrique is protecting Reina
Still going on about this? Don't think the score will change and agree to disagree looks to be in the cards....
He might have been entitled to a penalty if the ball had been going anywhere near him and Enrique still had his hands on him. But since Anichebe was moving away from the ball and towards Reina the foul was correctly given against him.
lol, a push is a push irrespective of the position of the ball & Anichebe didn't foul Reina - moving towards him doesn't constitute one either
Stoke were a little unlucky but we should of had the winner at Goodison to be fair. Rumour has it Moyes will join Uniteds coaching staf under Fergie next year. Don't believe it, but Stoke could be in trouble if he goes.
Not sure why you keep playing the Stoke joke tbh they can't be that bad LFC can't beat the real Stoke or us lol??? You complete ****ing numpty
