    Thoughts? Here's mine.

Chopra - On a reported £18.000 p/w I have read from various places today.

First season did VERY well considering all sorts of off field issues, fair play to the lad. However, this season, has been a complete disaster.
    - The twitter incident with the ££££ springs to mind.........

How are we going to offload him!? He's quite right in stating he has another year left on his deal, and who in their right mind at this level is going to take him with current issues on that wage !?!?We're either going to have to ---

A- Season long loan elsewhere, with us likely to be paying 50%.
B- Settle the contract, perhaps saving a month or two.
C- Somehow get him playing !!!!!!!!

It's a real shame, however, after considering everything I want him gone ASAP. Whatever it takes, get him out of our club please!

JET - Going to hazard a guess at him being on approx £10.000 p/w considering the transfer fee, it could be slightly more.

Not sure what to make of him!!! Looked good at the end of last season under Jewell, however Mick clearly doesn't seem convinced he will ever be a first team regular under him. Looks as though perhaps he has improved aspects of his game, however, he has to go I think. We cannot afford to spend that kind of ££££ on a player who we have zero idea how he will perform, and is likely to be a 15 minute sub gamble.

I think we could get a reasonable fee for JET too, perhaps £750,000 or so. We surely haven't hit all the targets, so we won't have paid £2 mill.
Cya JET, I had higher hopes however I cannot see you turning it around.

Martin - £12,000 p/w appears to be what he is meant to be on......

What can we say, we have clearly paid WELL over the odds on him. £2mill upfront and that kinda wage for what he has offered over the past four years is absolutely ridiculous. Had a cracking spell under Jewell, however, that aside hasn't been fantastic.

Of the three, I have far much time for Martin. He actually WANTS to play football, I cannot imagine he's a nightmare off the pitch, and always puts in a good shift. Far better through the middle than outwide, however, under some proper coaching we now have could potentially offer a lot more.

The main irritation with Martin, is the stupid redcards, often terrible final ball, and should score a bucket load more. That said, I would be happy for him to stay on approximately £5000 a week. He won't accept such a wage cut, who would, and I'd imagine he'll go elsewhere on a two year deal on approx £7000 - £8000.

That effectively frees up around £40,000 a week in wages ( if we're lucky enough and somehow Chopra leaves for a free and the other club takes on all the wages ) .

Good players at times? Sure. Value for money at just over £2,000,000 p season? NO. Cheerio, lets see what Mick can bring in.

Chopra seems to be the example of many a modern day footballer, content to accept a huge salary, and to not put in an appropriate shift. We have had this problem with his gambling debts, where it was reported we lent him a quarter of a million. Then it came to light that he was accused, along with other players of trying to fix horse races, along with a jockey. He fails to turn up for the hearing, and in his absence, gets a ban from betting establisments.

We also have to put up with this twitter nonsense, where he has actively engaged in arguments with his own supporters, and the posting of bundles of money, and the subsequent tone of the witterings about it, would be enough to put many town supporters off this guy for life, yes get rid of the waster.

In Jet's case again, think the decision is correct. Sure we are all agreed that he has flair, and is exciting to watch, the kind of player you pay to watch, but his work rate is appalling. Allied to that is his lack of consistency, all players, however good you are have the occasional bad or indifferent game, for every six or so games he plays, typically there will be just one good game amongst them, sorry for this level of football that is unacceptable.

Personally I will be absolutely gutted if JET does leave. I think the response that he made to the news (in comparison to Chopra's) shows the level of professionalism that JET has and his genuine enjoyment at being at ITFC, so fair play to the guy for conducting himself well <applause>

I think this is the first time that I've questioned MM and his decisions and I think this could come back to haunt us as JET has developed whilst his been with us and his attitude has improved greatly <ok> I think he'll go and become a star at another club and go on to bigger and better things

KOPR Sorry mate but I totally disagree with you about JET. I have seen him play many times and you can't keep picking him in the hope that he may just put in a classy performance. The fact remains that he doesn't change games and only has 10 minute spells here and there! This is not enough to keep him when we can get someone else in who will put in a decent shift every game.

We have to start spending smart, and these 3 just aren't worth what we are paying them. Chops and Martin I'm glad to see the back of, JET has talent but he is just too inconsistent and I would rather sell him now than let his contract run down.

    Smart business by Mick.

Can't the club sack Chopra for misconduct or something, if an employee spoke to customer like chopra has been tweeting the would have sacked on the spot!

Martin glad he's going. A bit of an idiot but overall just cant do the job that we want from him.
JET. Can see why we are getting rid and agree with the decision but if he learnt how to play consistantly he would be an asset to any team. Maybe having the worry of being without a club will give him the jolt he requires. He goes with my best wishes.

Chopra - Nobody will be more pleased then me about this decision. A poor ITFC career, the constant bragging about being our 20 goal a season player yet failing to even put in effort. The off the field issues, the twitter report and his general 'I get paid ****loads for doing nothing so what do I care' attitude is a total disgrace to our club and an insult to his colleagues who put in 100% more effort for probably a tenth of the wage. Wish we hadnt of offered him money to clear his debts then he may have been kneecapped by now and wouldnt be our problem!!. I dont think I have ever hated a Town (or even opposition possibly) player so much in my years of supporting this club. What do we do with him? I think we should have sacked him in the past for gross misconduct but dont think we can do that now until he does something else stupid. I dont want to pay him off as thats just giving him money for nothing which I would be loathe to do. I also dont want him near the club. so its either make him train on his own yet still pay him (and hope nobody takes a chance of him next summer and he can rot) which isnt ideal. Find some idiot to take him off our hands (hurry up and get another job Roy) or try to get him back on form (not for me) Anyone want to arrange for him to have an 'accident'?

Mick has crapped bigger than Chopra during his career so I have no doubts that Mick will soon sort Chopra out once and for all <ok>

Agree with that JWM. . Unfortunately our hands are tied on some aspects but I trust MM to do whatever is in the best interests of the other players here and the overall club

    Three options I guess:

Sell him, A loan deal to a League 1 club or failing that training with the reserves!

They look the most likely but I would rather he wasnt allowed anywhere near our reserves/ youth team and you have to wonder what idiots would want to sign him/ loan him after 2 seasons of poor performances and off the field headlines. Lots of strange things happen in football so I would imagine someone may take a punt on him (hopefully)

Fair enough, but only time will tell as to whether he can make the step up to be a consistent player..

Personally I love to see Ipswich sides with players who can do something a bit special, the Bobby Petta's or the Sixto Peralta's of this world. I accept that JET hasn't shown enough consistency on the field but I honestly feel he is worth the punt to come good, after all he is still only 22 <yikes> and MM and TC can really get a handle on him in the coming months to mould him into the player we can all see he could be..

.... But, like I say only time will tell but I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised to see him move on to bigger and better things once he leaves us <ok> and good luck to him I say

Don't get me wrong I would have loved it if JET had turned out to be the player he promised to be. Good luck to him in the future but unfortunately his future is not with us!

For Chops we would probably agree to anything to get him away from the club! I imagine a season long loan would be the most likely outcome as we would end up paying some of the wages and the "other" club wouldn't be tied to him if he is a flop for them as well.

I think that Chopra's original "i don't have to go" Tweet has been taken in the wrong way......i don't blame him for wanting to move to the right club or stay here if things are better here......i'm sure we would of supported someone like maybe Jordan Rhodes if he said to Keane no i'd rather stay here........ but that said the following tweets and comments from Chopra shows he is not the most likeable bloke and a bit of a dick.............so i won't shed a tear if/when he leaves.

As for Jay E T i think he could be a really good player but seems happy to just be a player....if you know what i mean....

Big shame about JET IMO i love watching players who get you up off your feet and have that bit of quality about them but really he's not a Mick type player and I don't think Mick can see where he would fit into a 442. I wouldn't be surprised if JET eventually either ends up playing for a top half PL side or a non league side. It is a shame though, his attitude seems to have been brilliant since Mick has been at the club and he certainly seems a popular figure in the dressing room and in the community.

Again Chopra has quality and in some ways I believe has been unfortunate at ITFC but at the same time he hasn't helped himself at all and how many more chances can you give a player who keeps bringing the club down.

Both probably technically the best players we have at the club but neither have shown their full potential neither really are either typical MM players. I think they're both good enough to do it at this level but if Mick doesn't see them as any more than bit part players at the club I geuss with FFP coming in he can't afford to have players like that on the fringes. Thing is in todays environment who is likely to want to make a move for Chopra, can't imagine anyone offering much money for JET either although I'd imagine someone would be willing to take a punt, perhaps a team like Palace or Brighton.

    RE Chopra
Ostracise, alienate, isolate, intimidate, goad, hassle.............
Any word you choose to hound him out of the club.
I may even join his twitter just to hassle him daily until he makes a mistake that leads to sacking.
Banners in the crowd, even if he's not playing, to let him know he's not wanted.
Here's hoping someone in the team keeps pushing his buttons until he lashes out on the training pitch.

Maybe transfer listing him is a scare tactic to make JET think about what he's doing.
Maybe he'll go knocking on Mick's door and ask for a second chance.
