Not what I was saying at all, but carry on <doh>

If referees sent off every player who did what Fellaini did yesterday there'd be 3 per match

  2. Can't agree with that at all. If a elbow is thrown in the way all three were by Felliani yesterday and the referee sees it, the player usually gets at least a yellow buta red is not unknown. Three times in one match would certainly see a player dismissed in the majority of games.

As I said above, I think all three were deliberate, he knows where the opposition player is, moves his arm in a unnatural movement and connects with the face in all of them.

Even if they weren't intentional, there is no way all three were an accident. Even further, whether they were an accident or not, three occurances warrants a card of some description regardless <ok>

Throwing the elbow is exaggerating IMO, he needs to keep his arms down but it wasn't a heinous act of voilence like

And yes, Gerrard was lucky Osman didn't make a meal of it when he nearly kicked his head off. Nani was sent off for that in a European game, whereas this ref just pointed to Gerrard's eyes to show they were on the ball.

Btw, did anyone see Giggs RIGHTLY reacting in fury over the Chelsea players waving imaginery cards on Sunday? What got me was Rooney standing behind him joining in - the same Wayne Rooney who ran thirty yards to get Kompany sent off for his scissor-lunge in the FA cup last season!

The elbow that sticks in my mind is Fellaini grinding his into Agger's face as they both went for a free-kick.

How he went unpunished for it I'm not sure. He knows exactly what he's doing.

That's because elbowing is seen as 'part of the game'(!) Good ol' British mentality.

Gerrard had a great game which was expected as we only see him at his blistering best in big games.

As most of you know, I went. I had a good day out, but was very disappointed with the match. Contrary to what a good few of you are saying, I didn't think there was the usual level of passion I would expect to see. I didn't get a clear view of the disallowed goal, so can't really comment on that. Fellaini needs to knock the elbowing off, though he was probably the BS's best player on the day.
This was Carra's last Derby and a chance for us to close the gap on them. Those two things alone should have been the spark for a real effort from us to send the man off in style.

The joint singing of YNWA was ****ing brilliant, and as I said, it was a good day out with my BS mate in tow <ok>

The match lacked passion, apart from Stevie who ran around like a man possessed.

Everton should have had the goal IMO but then that cancels out Suarez's earlier on this season.

Coutinho did his best to unlock the defence and did so, only for Sturridge to waste some good chances.

I'd agree with that. I think Gerrard got MOTD didn't he?
