Much as I love the guy and his new album is ****in brilliant but his lyrics are almost indecipherable.

Or maybe I'm just thick?

Ive only been able to read the lyrics recently because I lost my glasses. Honestly it's barely legible even with my specs on.

What's he's gibbering on about, heaven only knows but it sounds great.

And a welcome return for the saxophone.

One of the songs is a definite nod to "5 Years" with the reprise the exact same drum beat as intro and reprise on 5 Years.

You see, I'm full of **** information. Totally thick but I know all manner of useless stuff.

Nah, lounge lizard suits and floppy hats a la The Thin White Duke.

Another interesting snippit, Bowie was so off his face on hard drugs that he does not even remember recording Station To Station, coincidentally my favourite album of his.

 

It's hard to admit but I think his version of Wild is the Wind is even better than Nina Simone's.

 

Have you heard the live version of it on his 2000 At The Beeb sessions.

His voice on it is phenomenal.
