im not stating i would play boyd as striker lol!!! but i would over fatty fryup so whats that say about my opinion on him.... awful striker awful player and mid table championship standard at best.
This thread is basically a general rumours thread so I'm going to merge it with the other two and sticky the resulting thread. If people want to start a new thread for individual players that's fine but we can't have three or four general rumour threads going on at once.
The Mirror reckon we're after Genk keeper Grzegorz Sandomierski who was on loan at Blackburn. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/hull-ready-step-blackburn-loan-1873081
You know not very much footballing-wise in regards to our strikers. That man wouldve been around the 20 goal mark this season if he'd stayed injury free.
He scored 16 goals last season up front on his own. The season before he scored 9 in half a season. Our top scorer this season was a 32 year old CM, with 10 goals. But no, you're right he's ****.
I nominate him for all-round nice guy and he shows me up by behaving like this ffs. It's gone to his head.
Based on what? He's only ever managed over 10 goals twice at this level. In 255 games he's only scored 50 goals in the Championship. Less that 1 in 5. Even Jay Simpson has a better record.
He's played 205 games in the Championship, and has a strike rate of a goal every 4.1 games. Simpson has a strike rate in the Championship of 1 every 4.7 games.
Ah sorry, you're right. See here kids, this is where a typo can demolish your entire argument But still, my point stands. There is no evidence to suggest he's a 20 goal a season striker.
I'm not sure we will spend all that much. Given the state of the finances when the Allam saved us I don't think a massive gamble is the way they'll want to go. I would expect / hope we got a couple of players on loan, is it a maximum of 2 from England? Sign them up in January if they have been a success and get more players on loan. Loaning players and then signing them worked with Meyler and Brady, reduces the risk and means we don’t get stuck with anyone on stupid wages – Oli, JB etc A couple of players with EPL experience on free transfers would be great but I think the players that got us up deserve the chance to prove themselves. There have been too many players that have come up from league 1 to the premiership and been a huge success to not give our guys a chance.
I agree TBH, he struggles to get 15 goals in the championship. I can see him being a 6,7,8 goal striker in the prem, at best.
On the whole I agree BUT Phil Brown panicked and became too defensive without having the right players Most of the players we have now would be good squad players in PL We need to spend reasonable money on the spine of the team
We'll need to be spending £25k-£30k on better players we want to get in and maybe £40k on a good striker.

I didn't realise Wigan had a player called Piscu!! Are you sure that's right? Sounds a bit fishy to me!!! Also, I didn't know Fraizer Campbell was out of contract at Slumberland!!!
The thing about ashbee, we could have got better footballers in the premiership no doubt but what is obvious to me is we miss ashbee as a captain or that sort of a character. Someone who will fly into a tackle, get the team going and keep everyone on their toes. TT hope this answers your question
