Why is everyone so certain Wigan will get 4 points out of Swansea Arsenal and Villa?

Because Whelan and Martinez sold their souls to the devil to keep them up every year.

I don't want to sit through the final games, or discuss any more predictions or possible scenarios. The anxious wait is completely wrecking my nerves. Can we just find out right now whether we're safe or relegated. At least then we can know either way and get on with life. These next 2weeks are going to feel like eternity in hell.

We're safe and we're going to be champions next year, get your money on it.

Never mind Minxy, you'll bounce back up and just think of the pleasure you'll get going to all the away games and coming back home with three points.

    Mathematically, no. Realistically, yes.

Draw I think does it for us now. Hopefully we can go down to London and play with a bit of freedom - and I hope that the QPR camp is still divided after Mbia's honesty this week. Can anyone see the likes of Mbia, Samba, Hoillett or Remy really fancy putting it all about? They're not in a "shop window", they just want to get through two games with as little fuss as possible.

Best thing I think we can do is play give or take the same eleven. All too often this season it's been different players every week. For 45 mins last weekend we looked alright. Ish. Don't know if Sissoko is fit or not, as the only change I'd look for is Jonas dropping down.

Elliott, Simpson, Colo, Taylor, Haidara, Tiote, Anita/Sissoko, Cabaye, Gouffran, Ben Arfa, Cisse.

I write those names down and cannot for the life of me fathom how relegation is such a realistic proposition. And that's without Santon and Debuchy.

    Oh, wait, yes I can...cough...Alan.

The only thing with the likes of Remy, Samba, Hoillett & co is they might see this as a chance to pit themselves in the 'shop window' again ready for next season. We just have to go out against them with a positive mindset and take the game to them from the off.

Typical us tho will prob screw up get a glimmer of hope and then swipe the carpet from under our feet.

The remy jenas factor scares me, we should change our name to irony united.

Still live in hope pardew is sacked by Sunday but think we will have to wait til
    The end of the season.

Lets just put this **** to bed on Sunday

We have been so bad this year tonight's game will be on the clubs season review as a highlight

At least tomorrow I will face the
    stomach to read the paper

Here's what will happen in the relevant matches:

    Chelsea - Tottenham

    Arsenal - Wigan

    QPR - Newcastle DRAW

    Sunlund - Southampton

    Norwich - WBA

    Fulham - Liverpool

    Stoke - Tottenham DRAW

    Wigan - Villa DRAW

Newcastle - Arsenal DRAW/doesn't matter much to Arsenal cause Spurs will muck it up again Stoke but probably beat Sunderland. Spurs always muck it up. Arsenal and Chelsea always finish strong. Just look to past seasons. I'd be bery surprised if Spurs come away with anything tonight, in any case it's a game that holds great bearing on what happens at the bottom of the table due to Arsenals involvement.

I actually think we'll end up above Norwich, but below the Mackems.

A team that's been playing ****e all season isn't ever going to win 4 out of the last 6 matches, even if they have to. That's why there's no sense in sacking the manager in late march or april. The only message the club admin is sending by that is 'we dont' believe you can stay up but we can't do anything else but sack the manager'. If you replace your manager you do it in january, february latest, like Southampton did, and they're better for it.

Amusingly, in spite of the press' best efforts, wouldn't it be great for Wigan to be down on Sunday afternoon? Get wins in for us, Norwich, Fulham and the mackems - would be quite a larf. I got to say, I don't think Wigan belong in the top flight. We always get pounded by them, their end of season Houdini is just tiresome (was great to see Harry "Houdini" not escape, this would complete the set) and their chairman is a dick. They get no crowds - I mean, 3-2 down with 5 to go and fans are leaving?! It was silent at the DW for the last part of that match when they so desperately needed a goal. They just aren't a real football club. Relegation would see them relieved of the 1 or 2 decent players they've got and their absence should be for quite some time.

At the end of the day, survival is all we're interested in at the moment.

Let's just hope that it means as much to the players as it does to us.

Make no mistake, Wigan are down.

Didn't you see the players and fans reaction at the end? They've accepted it. You don't put your shirt over your head just because you've lost a match, you rather just walk off.

Wigan will probably bounce right back up. They've got a young team, I don't think they will have to sell players, however, if they don't bounce right back up next year (which will be tough to come second, because I'm pretty sure QPR will be back next year and win the championship comfortably under Harry) I don't think we'll play Wigan again in a long long time. Look what's happening to Wolves and Blackburn.

Not to mention reading will still have largely the same side next season too, so they'll be battling for second place as well. And I sense Boro are on the cusp as well, if they fix their inconsistencies. Whoever wins the playoffs this year will probably be a pushover... but if it's Brighton we're dead set on losing to them twice, so let's hope it's not Brighton.

One point from QPR and Arsenal to beat Wigan and we are safe.
I'm off down the mosque to pray.
