I really expect us to bring in at least 1 more Egyptian, maybe someone young probably from Al-Ahly. The work permit thing really narrows down who would be available but perhaps Ramy Rabia a 19 year old defender for Al-Ahly who plays on the Egyptian national team. I think we will sign Gedo but not Fathi.
Yeah I probably would. Lets be honest it's the only way you (as a promoted side) are going to get a goalscorer by looking down the leagues. Rhodes I think would be more then up for it. It's a gamble but one that could pay off
Location will still be a problem but Bruce being our coach will help the situation. That said no chance we sign Remy or anyone like him. Dont think we will have anyone on wages even approaching 50 grand a week. Neither Bruce nor the Allams seem like the type to splash out that kind of cash. It will be championship players, older PL players or affordable recently relegated PL players.
Remy has an £8 million release clause something we won't meet + he is being linked with Arsenal/Liverpool who we have no chance of competing with on wages (already on about 60k i think) Rhodes will cost the £8 million Blackburn paid and i seem to remember the outrage from Blackburn fans that he was going to be on £45k a week! We need to be looking at players like: Austin & Le Fondre Austin will cost about £2/£3 million in my opinion as he only has 1 year left on his contract and will be on £10/£15k with Burnley at the moment - we can offer about £20k as long as we put in a relegation clause in his contract Le Fondre will cost about £3/£4 million in my opinion but he has proven he is good enough this year with 10+ goals of the bench & will be another on affordable wages!
I think the striking department really needs resolving. I'd be happy with Austin and or Rhodes. Maybe with a Cameron Jerome or Kenwyne Jones chucked in for good measure. You need 4 good strikers in this league as a minimum - assuming we retain just Fryatt - re-enforcement's are most definitely needed.

Austin must be on the radar, 28 goals from 40 appearances this season, 6'2 and only 23....plus he's in the last year of his contract with Burnley...
fatty fryup is the worst striker on our books currently including cullen joking aside though i think hes ****e and would rather use prossie (also ****e) and gedo (probs sign due to papa allam) as back up to two new strikers we get with aluko boyd able to fill in there (if worst comes to worst and are needed there).
