Here are the players who's contracts Expire in June. Who gets a new one if any? Rosenior, Liam Simpson, Jay Bradley, Sonny (unconfirmed) Cullen, Mark Dawson, Andy Devitt, Jamie East, Danny Emerton, Danny Faye, Abdoulaye McKenna, Paul McShane, Paul Olofinajana, Seyi Oxley, Mark For me i would offer Faye, Mcshane and Rosenior deals, thoughts?
cairney (squad member) rosie (squad member) mcshane (squad member) faye (back up if he wants too). i expect only mchsane and faye (again if he wants too) to get new deals
The list is twice as long as that and Carney shouldn't be on it, he's already got another year. Here's the actual list of all players and when their contracts expire... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/205680-Player-Contracts
Cairney and Rosenior are the only ones who should get new contracts. Two years apiece, IMO. Faye has been brilliant for us and I ****ing love him to bits, but he simply can't cut the mustard at Premiership level I'm afraid
McKenna, Devitt and Olofinjana contracts expire shortly and have already been told they will not be renewing.
he can't i agree but as last resort he would not be a bad idea (5th choice cb if he would agree to that) mcshane i also would not give a contract to personally as prem is way beyond his level, but hes getting one so lets hope hes just back up/bench warmer
Faye, McShane, Rosenior and Simpson are the ones I'd want to keep. First for another year only. Last for a cheapish deal only.
What on Earth is that based on? I'd offer deals to Faye, McShane, Rosenior and Simpson. I'd like to see Dawson stay here in a coaching role but I can't see why he would want to when he can carry on playing.
Mcshane, Faye, Rosenior and simpson for me. Mcshane on his day is a quality defender, he can make some mistakes but these are few and far between, he's had a fantastic season (when he was not injured). As for Faye he was crucial for us this season his experience and commanding figure shined on our other (younger) cb's. Whilst I agree he may not be that quick anymore but one on one I would bet my house that he would come out on top. Faye would be good backup for us next season. Rosenior, in and out of the team he has pace and can deliver well at times I think he should be back up. Simpson? With the EPL a much faster league I reckon he could do alright and with more time on the ball. Anyhow that's what I think
Faye, McShane and Rosenior. Faye to be on the bench and available for last ten minutes if we need to settle things down at the back. McShane because every team needs a 'Supermac'. Rosenior because his grandma comes from Hull and he's there as a natural fullback (left or right) if we need to slip into a 4-4-2.
Rosy might not bring a lot to the table going forward but he was the best defender we had for 2 years. He has been pretty good when he has come on this season and was solid on Saturday. Can't see us playing 3 at the back in the premier league so I suspect he may well get back into the team. He is good enough in my opinion by far.
Rosenior is the only one for me. Possibly Mcshane aslong as he is fourth or fifth choice. Faye i do rate him, but i have lost count of the numerous commentators who have said he has lost his pace. The Campbell goal showed it all to me, i don't think he has it for the PL if he did Big Sam would of kept him on. No idea why we are keeping Simpson did he not just score 7 goals in the Championship. He's barely Championship quality.
Stoke released him... West Ham let him go after promotion... He's simply too slow I'm afraid. If we'd not gone up I'd have said give him another year.
People seem to think that because they weren't that good in the Championship, they're going to be good enough for the PL because "they get more time on the ball", but wouldn't that not make it easier for everyone?
I would also keep Mcshane. Premier League experience and with Hull City. Would be foolish to let him go.
