Meyler was saying that Steve Bruce said that Proschwitz should take the penalty. I'm amazed by that decision. Maybe Bruce decided that Simpson should take the penalty against Wednesday?
If Brady had still been on the pitch rather than holding Bruce up, he wouldve taken it. McShane shouldve taken it imo.
Let's not get upset about that now. You can usually trust a German with a penalty. Bruce stated recently that he's one of the best finishers we have, it's other areas of his game that need to improve. Lets not forget the bizarre delay before that penalty could be taken as well.
He was considered something of a specialist at Paderborn. It makes perfect sense. He might have struggled all year but shooting hasn't been his problem.
Not surprised by Bruce's decision; Bomber is the most technically talented player at the Club and he's German!
His penalty against Rotherham was excellent. Not seen it often enough but i think the keeper was moving well before and guessed right.
It was a decent penalty, the keeper made a good save. Not sure who else would take it instead of him, he was the obvious choice.
The keeper guessed the right way. If he had guessed the wrong way we wouldn't be having this discussion.
His penalty was the best against Rotherham + He is German! I think Bruce wanted Prozzy to be the hero after a difficult season, pushing him on for next season. I bet he thought even if he missed, there wasn't a chance that Cardiff would go down the other end and score!
My sentiments too. His penalty against Rotherham was one of the best penalties a city player has converted, and because of that I had no worries about him taking it, alas there keeper guessed right and made a terrific save. I think we may see a bit more of him next season, although we obviously need more fire power!
It was a decent enough penalty, but Marshall is a great keeper and it wasn't the first decent save he'd made on the day. On a side note, anybody else wonder why Elmo didn't take our free kicks this season? He managed to get it on target with power; he should really be taking the corners too as he and Brady are the best crossers at the club.
This is the case for most penalties. Koren at Forest was a very weak one but the keeper guessed wrong and it went in, Simpson did the same thing against Wednesday and the keeper guessed right so it was saved. Brady at Ipswich again passed it into the corner and scored on account of the keeper going the wrong way and Prossy's was saved. Any player who has been nominated to take a penalty out of a team of 11 players should really be able to twat it properly in the corner. Anyone can pass it to one side and give themselves a 50% chance of scoring.
He's the most consistent penalty taker at the club. Simple as. If you saw training you'd know this and it was a completely logical decision. I 100% blame the ****ing idiots who ran on the pitch for him missing. Talk about an unwanted delay with added pressure...
Lol twat. Btw, I love that new avatar. Really hope you get through the playoffs, would miss you if you don't. Genuinely. I know when I go into work tomorrow, the 2 Derby fans will be as happy as me due to Forest losing lol.
