I am off to Windsor tomorrow so have been having an early look at the card. I have found one that I fancy quite strongly in the first so I thought I would share it with you wonderful people and see what you think.
Illustrious Prince 2.30 Windsor 8-1 has dropped down to a handy mark, although that could apply to three or four of the others. Conditions tomorrow will suit this one though as its going to be very quick going. I also like the fact that he has won for this conditional in the past and that is quite a strong pointer. He won a similar event at Goodwood last year off a mark of 69. Off 65 tomorrow he must have every chance. He was well supported that day and market confidence would be another positive.

    Good luck to you all

I fancy dancing welcome in that race, 5 pounds below highest winning mark, raced for the first time in 3 months the other week and hopefully that will bring him on nicely for tomorrow. Trainer not in great form though which is a slight concern.

    Windsor
    3.30 Pixilated 14-1 EW

I was told to back this horse on it's debut last year only for it to finish third. Although at the time I just thought nothing of it I realised that it was well intentioned info when after that defeat the yard put it straight into a listed race where it was beat into 6th by Sir Prancelot. After this it won it's maiden unchallenged by 3 1/2 lengths and was then put into the Windsor castle at Royal Ascot, where it was beaten soundly. It then ran underpar once again and a pattern started to emerge explaining the debut defeat, as it does not like give underfoot. It has since ran twice on the all weather and failed to shine but by the style of it's victory in the maiden at Yarmouth you can tell it's a galloper liking a straight track. There is a question over fitness of course having been off since January but I feel the ground and track will suit and that if this horse genuinely has anywhere near the ability once hoped it can take a grade 5 race at Windsor tomorrow, it's an each way price so worth a bet I feel.

I will add that I also feel that another outsider is worth a look in the same race as Risky Riskover should not be 25-1 in my opinion and a bet on both each way may pay dividends.

    Hello lads.

I'm off to DR tomorrow for a fair NH card

Stick that race is a complete nightmare!<yikes>.

Yours has as good as chance as any tbh.The field looks full of late closers who never quite get there and not sure this course is going to suit them. The pace is also an issue and whilst they usually go a good clip at Windsor I see only First Rebellion and Courageous as likely trailblazers, the former with possibly the best draw.Having said that not so sure the draw makes that much difference here over 6f except on soft or very large fields.

If pushed I'd side with Methaaly e/w who drops slightly in grade and runs off 55.He looks well in considering he won off 60 in February.Has form on the ground although runs mainly on the sand.He does pop up occasionally and has won roughly 10% of his 145 career events.Given that its safe to say he isn't improving and only goes in when carrying the right weight under the right conditions and when he feels like it!..maybe tomorrow?

He has a good young boy on top tomorrow and will be doing his best work at the end as usual. The sharp track isn't ideal but this is a poor race and this old dog has as good a chance as any, amazed connections rarely try him over 7f given his style of running....interesting to see if there is any market support...however,it won't be from me!

Ficelle also looks worthy of a mention in this event.

    Have a great day!

I think Links Drive Lady in the 3 00 will give you a good run for your money-- drawn to attack, a blow out the other week, and dropped in grade....14/1 seems very fair.

Have a great day at the races stick <ok>

If you can get the spelling right on the betting slip, it might be worth having an e/w dabble on Duaiseoir in the lucky last, especially if all 8 line up. He's done OK for Venetia over the sticks and has winning form for Jim Bolger on gd/fm in Ireland. Looks interesting off 74 and won't lack for fitness.

Windsor 3.00 Noctum 2/1 - Not the most original selection but I think he looks nailed on here. 2/2 at Windsor and has already beaten some of todays rivals previously. The form of his last race looks good with the 2nd finishing a 3.5 length third to Hamza LTO and the 3rd only just being beaten by George Guru. Graham Lee takes over from William Buick but should prove an adequate replacement.

Ive been told by my contact in the pat martin yard they expect a decent run from footprint in the 5.25 at the curragh.i have won on this before so it certainly has ability and was just out for the run last time out.ive backed it EW at 25/1 but not sure what to expect to be honest so early in the season.

As Pixilated is now a non runner I am going to place the same each-way bet on my other big priced fancy.

    Windsor
    3.30 Risky Riskover 33-1 E-W

I am also placing a small fun bet of an each way yankee
    Windsor
    2.30 Illustrious Prince 15-2 (sticks)
    3.30 Risky Riskover 33-1
    5.35 St Helena 9-1
    Kempton
    3.50 Stir Trader 5-1
Each way yankee, good luck all.

    14:30 Windsor - Methaaly

(The old fellah might do well in this opening race. Does need a strong pace though, to show his best).

Have a great day at the races, Stick. Have fond memories of this track by the Thames.

I nearly came and joined you Stick as I am not far from Windsor but thought it may just be a bit busy for my liking today.

Aside from the bigger priced selections already put up I think that there is a good bet in the first at Kempton.

    Kempton
    2.15 Meritocracy 2-1

This horse ran in a very good maiden won by the very smart Justice Day who was touched off in a quality race at Ascot last week. The second won next time out, Meritocracy was third and fourth was Green Door who won yesterday in a hot Newmarket race. You need forgive meritocracy his last run at Ponty but if you do he looks a decent bet to win a Kempton Maiden today.

    I'm going for :

    Toto Skyllachy 4.00 Beverley @4/1
    Good Speech 4.30 Beverley @ 9/2

I think I'll have a small punt on Risky Rizcova at that those odds too.

Looking forward to seeing how Viztoria has progressed, one of the most impressive 2yos in Ireland last year for me, I think the price is fair and its good enough for me to go in.

Surprised that Wannabe Better is 4/1 and not fav here, looks a good bet to me.
