Saw the 1st half of Hull v Malaysia and my only thoughts were cannon fodder next season. Some recruitment needed by both teams
The **** are coming up And they're going straight back down Going straight back down Going straight back down Coming up Going down.....
We thought the same of Southampton didnt we ?? cannon fodder or not what they lack in skill they will make up for in endevour and we always struggle against teams like that !! hopefully they are down by Xmas though ..
I reckon they will be defined by their first few games. If they get some decent results when they have the 'new team' impetus then perhaps they can survive. If they get tanked in the first few games and heads go down then it could be a long and painful season for them. They don't play particularly good or different football so big spending is probably needed. Southampton at least spent a few seasons playing some nice stuff (L1 and championship).
Southampton are not a good comparison imo , a good talented squad who play the ball on the floor where as the hit and hope brigade are just that with a touch of endeavour which won't be enough,We stayed up by playing a different brand of football which with the limited squad and experience was enough for the first season .Any way the only aim for them next season is to get us ( we should be honoured ) thats if Tan hasn't run off with the tea money https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10200284549808853
Southampton are a good team, they had a horrendous fixture list to begin with and have grown into the league. They don't do Hoofball either.
I think a lot will depend on how they spend. That squad at the moment is nowhere near good enough. but with a few good signings who knows. thats if Tan does actually spend.
I'm putting my money on Man City, for there first game, and it will be away. We had them and so did Southampton as well.
Having watched that game, both Hull and Cardiff could field both sides together and they will still go down. Both clubs need to spend around the £30million mark to have a fighting chance of staying up
KnackeredJack, I never actually saw your post first time round (only recently remembered my password) and had a quick nose on here and noticed the thread. Randomly jumped to your post and it made me chuckle But tbh, I would have sided with you originally as I thought Blackburn would have been in the top 6 easy
Bit unfair to base your opinion on that game as Cardiff had nothing to play for, as well as having two strikers on the pitch coming back from injury. You guys didn't have to spend much so perhaps you should give us the benefit of the doubt. But that would probably be too sensible for you
hilts mate you just killed his erection.......... by the way norway, news must take a while to reach you up there fella, jonesy was paid his ill gotten gains 5 days back and 'wishes us all the best', so its all good
Glad to hear it mate, why did it take over a year to pay him and the threat of court action ?? News of your club doesn't travel as far as Norway fella, thankfully the internet works just fine ,better late than never...a bit like your entry into the Prem league I guess
