Thank you all for the kind words once again. I personally believe Elmo will sign on a permanent deal followed by Gedo. Elmo said after promotion that of course, he will return to Sunderland, but says he prefers Hull due to the connection with the fans, and of course, Steve Bruce. I wrote this near the beginning of the season, and Elmo's views really haven't changed http://www.kingfut.com/2012/09/13/elmo-targets-promotion-permanent-hull-city-switch/ Assem Allam today: âGedo was very worried to return to Egypt for treatment and I promised him that even if his surgery cost millions, he wonât leave here unless he is 100% fit.â Sounds like a down payment to me! Finally, Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry earlier in the season hinted he will allow Gedo to stay http://www.kingfut.com/2013/03/23/a...hull-city-stay-for-gedo-awaits-fathis-return/ Important thing to note here is, though, El-Badry has today left Ahly as head coach, due to personal reasons and the club's continued poor financial situation (which makes it seem more likely for them to sell).
Thanks again for that input. It was my understanding that a deal had been worked out with the former Sunderland manager that Elmo would stay with us if we were promoted, but its now up to Di Canio if they allow that to take place. Certainly Elmo seems to want to stay with us and has made a massive contribution this season. I think we will probably make an offer to Ahly for Gedo as Bruce likes him and he showed his goalscoring talent before his injury. Mr.Allam will take good care of him. Fathi remains the mystery to me. From the link you provided he's obviously disappointed that he hasn't had much playing time and wants to return to Egypt. Too bad...I think he would do well in the Prem.
