I went to Hull yesterday and can I just say I had a cracking time the banter was great and it was very nice end that we were all celebrating together in the end. Watford 2-0 up was class so to was Squeaky bum time de de der de and whilst I enjoyed you suffering a bit it was only because it helped make the atmosphere so much better plus the fact that we had suffered so much in the past it was nice to sit back relax and watch someone else LOL. when the news finally came in 15 Minutes later all the Cardiff Fans who fair play had stayed behind lead a cracking choir in the hull fans on the pitch below that would have made any of us welsh boys proud and you know what we are like for our reputation with good choirs and singers. Any how much respect was shown on all sides after the game all signing together swapping scarf’s and flags the only disappointing thing for me That it hasn’t made the news at all far to often press TV are so quick to slam violence and bad behaviour well where is our press today for the atmosphere and friendship shown. We even had a guard of honour from the hull fans as our coaches left. So I ask you again WHERE IS OUR GOOD PRESS TODAY!!! Well done Hull Thank you Cardiff City Players and Good luck Watford a horrible way to miss out I hope you can bounce back in the playoffs. So glad you made it and thanks for your hospitality yesterday see you in the prem
You're right cc, it was a great atmosphere yesterday, I never saw one sign of trouble, consequently the sensationalist red tops won't be interested, and both clubs support bases will undoubtedly continue to be paraded by the lazy journos as football hooligans as soon as the next easy opportunity arises.
I have never felt as sick in a game as I did in the second half yesterday. Strangely when we were 2-1 up was when I felt the worst, (although it could well have been the stadium hot dog I had before Kick-Off). The chanting was quite amusing (in retrospect) but the most surreal moment was after the final whistle when David Meyler came over to our area thinking Watford were winning 2-1 and I explained to him it was only 1-1! Think our players might have actually believed your Watford chants. Thanks to the Cardiff fans for helping to make it the amazing day and atmosphere it was and credit for staying back at the final whistle and applauding, although I really don't want to go through that set of emotions again ever! I hope we both tear up the Prem next season. 2500/1 for Cardiff to win it and 3000/1 for us last I checked.
Mcshane said he heard someone say watford were 2-1 up... when the final whistle went... wonder which dickhead did that
Think it was just a misunderstanding. McShane asked "What's happening at Watford" and got the reply "They're 2 : 1 up" meaning Leeds.
I noticed some Cardiff fans were leaving with some of our scarves. I thought you were a great set of fans- constant singing, came in numbers, up for a laugh. You must've started early yesterday to get up to Hull for 12;30. Don't envy you. As long as it's not a t City's expense, i hope you do well next year.
A Cardiff Fan i bet Ohhh the banter LOL de de de derr sqeauky bum time Circa it was all banter ans fun or miscommuincations cause rumours were flying all around the stadium Still it dont matter know dose it http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...6B63DB994DD5F46E67B16B63D&first=0&FORM=NVPFVR
5.20 we left the stadium pal so up about 4.30 and i think we got back about 9 ish top day though glad we didnt get beat and that didnt cost you lot anything.
There was some talk on the radio after Humberside played in the Three Counties transmission about Forestieri having got the ball in the middle of the area and the players taking time to realise the linesman had flagged for offside. Had he stuck it in the back of the net at that point? If he had it could be like that disallowed goal against us earlier in the season where we'd been given a freekick and took it while they were celebrating. If someone was watching the Watford game and our game they might have thought it had been given. More odd was that not long into the 2nd half someone in South East corner decided to say Leeds were winning. The cheer got half way up the East Stand to about E5 before enough people knew it was bollocks because it was still half-time there.
Is THAT what actually happened then? Confused the hell out of us in the southern section of the West Stand.
I assume so, by the time it got to us in E5 that was the shout that was moving down the stand with the cheering so I'd say it's fair to assume that it started with that. There was certainly nothing in our game at that point to start that level of cheering.
Yeah that was odd but I realised it was fake when the cheering abruptly ended. When i got home I thought it could have been for the red card but that hadnt happened yet.
yep the 'phantom' Leeds goal reached me and my lad in the South Stand (towards the east). Everyone around me thought it was 2-1 to Leeds but I had my doubts because the cheer around the KC wasn't as voluminous as Leeds' first goal. Checked on my blackberry (service was **** on Sat) and BBC still showed 1-1 although the BBC updates are sometimes 5 mins or so late. Checked back again and still was 1-1. Kept telling everyone around me but they didn't believe me ! A modern day Cassandra !
