I am sure we would, take me to the Grand Union Canal Welly and I'll teach you how to catch A LOT of Carp fellla Oddly enough when I go fishing with other football fans - we never talk about football, just the job in hand. Is it the same for you?
Indeed it is, in fact when I go fishing with any mates I find that we hardly talk at all, timeless contemplation of the moment, at one with nature, waiting for the bite alarm to go off, or that pike float to glide away...
Too true Hampy, typical of the budgies! We have one of their lot using the C word on our board but we just rise above it unlike this bunch of precious W... on here
You idiots moan about what we say about you, calling you nasty names etc, how does this differ from I guess this was just banter - yes? If that was, then so too was mine, after all everything on a football forum is banter according to you, Yorkie and Guru and anything can be said to anyone apparently yet the PC brigade comes running when the fancy takes. Let's talk double standards shall we or does that not suit you today? Don't you worry your pretty little head about it precious. I will serve a ban as Dave will now go on serve one as I will not apologise to any of you lot that come over here to do nothing other than to cause trouble following our weekly defeats. Further more I will not run off elsewhere bleating about the injustice of it all like an attention seeking little child. Hopefully that will also stop your endless bleating about double standards. When I return I will continue abuse you if you persist with the constant wumming and taking over of threads - it is not just me that is fed up with it. You bang on about "manning up", learn to do it yourself and not bitch about what WE do on OUR board - when is the message ever going to sink in? If you want a kindergarten, use your own board and do what you want, no one here will give a toss and you can all the childish fun you want without intervention from me or the vast majority of us. All this "you hand it our but can't take it" bollocks - when it suits you, you wont take it back. Poor ickle Yorkie taking offence to such an extent he want's me to be banned for it. I am sure he has had a sleepless night worrying over what I have called him and the rest of you huh? Yeah, like hell - pathetic! I stand by my words - Those Ipswich fans that come here to wum, in my eyes are not welcome and I urge all my fellow Norwich fans to just totally ignore all of you, not respond to anything you have to say. With any luck you'll soon get bored once your plaything has been removed.
I am getting pretty sick of the mod debates which seem to happen every week. As much as I like some of the Ipswich fans being here, because I enjoy the rivalry. I think some of the Ipswich fans are intentionally wumming, this seems to happen every week at the minute, so frankly you know it's going to get a reaction. I just think it's becoming a little tedious at the minute. On the match, yes we played better. If we do go down, which I think is probably down to next weekends game, than it's not this game which has done it. It's been the atrocious second half of the season, it also shouldn't be ignored if we stay up. Either way we need to perhaps start looking for another manager. We all want what's best for the club, and usually I like managers to be given a couple of seasons but I don't really see anything in Hughton which makes me think he is going to turn things round.
I've changed my mind and I think he has to go whatever happens. If we stay up, let's face it, he has proved that he simply does not have the quality to lead a Premiership club. Even with the benefit of that wonderful 10 match run he couldn't do it. If we go down, the players he has totally ignored are probably going to be the ones a manager has to use (Fox, Jackson, Becchio, etc). These players are almost certainly not going to give their heart and soul for him, and furthermore they shouldn't.
I think we have to have a manager ready to step in, if you look at managers available at the moment there isn't that many. If we go down I would try for Dougie Freedman, if we stay up I actually don't know. Perhaps look abroad, when you look at SOuthampton's and Swansea's success.
I like the look of whoever doesn't go up out of Zola or Poyet. I'd also like to think about Solskjaer again.
Saw the 'highlights' again on MOTD2 last night, and I think Pilks is to blame really for the winner. He's shoulder-to-shoulder with Agbonlahor, but then rather than make a tackle or foul him, he puts his hands in the air and backs off. Howson is busting a gut to get back but can't. One of the CB's should have closed him down too whilst the other covered.
