Nothing could have been arranged before yesterday because no-one knew whether we would be promoted. If the council had planned any sort of celebration the usual suspects on this board would have been the first to condemn them for over-confidently tempting fate.

 

Yeah, it was the local rate payers.

People just want to applaud the team, shame if petty political rubbish is going to stop that till later in the week.

 

Hmm, don't think it did come from rates paid by local residents you know. Pretty sure it came from the flotation of a company. And the whole world outside of the city thought they were stupid and irresponsible to spend it on a stadium.
