Why doesn't Ruddy return as soon as fit? Why didn't Whittaker return to right back as soon as he was fit? Why didn't Pilkington return as soon as he was fit? Why didn't tettey return as soon as he was fit? These were all players who were in the side when were picking up results, not recalling them as soon as they're fully fit was an utterly stupid decision. You should play your best players when atall possible when we have such bang average squad to choose from. I just can't get round him playing E Bennett or Kamara on the left when pilks was fit, Ruddy is off galivanting around some golf course when he should be between the sticks. Whittaker and Snodgrass on the right were superb before he got injured. As bedford says HUGHTON OUT!
1) IMO, Ruddy wouldn't of saved either of those no difference. 2) IMO, Rusty had a very good game as did Garrido, Whittaker would of made no difference. 3) Pilkington did return pretty soon after he was fit, but Elliott Bennett made an able deputy. 4) I was in the stadium at Reading and Tettey was brought on and did nothing but give the ball away. He hasn't quite looked the same since his return from injury, and I don't think you could argue he would of done any better then Johnson/Howson who were both decent today.
How many games did we win when they were and were'nt in the team DM? Thats all it boils down too at the end of the day, these players havent been in recently and we have been poor, yet when they all were we were fine.
Why wasn't J Bennett sent off? Why didn't that dubious handball in the box go our way in the first half? Why didn't we close down Agbonlahor? Why did Hoolahan steal that header from Martin? Much as I'm gutted, I don't think Hughton was all to blame today.
I swear in a previous life, Hughton was a Dementor from Harry Potter world. He sucks the life, happiness, attacking ability, defensive ability, goalkeeping ability, positivity, joy of watching our beloved club out of this world http://www.encyclopedie-hp.org/image...or_dudley1.jpg
Agreed. I don't understand why everybody is slating Hughton NOW after such a big improvement. I hope things calm down by tomorrow morning and we get focused on our cup final against West Brom.
Its not just about today, its just overall decisions. as i say, when was the last time he made a correct decision to influence a positive result from a match?
A big improvement yes, BUT WE FLAMING WELL LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If he had made the right decisions weeks and months ago we wouldnt be so much in the s**t and we would have picked up a result today. As i say, its a thing of his own doing over the past weeks and months and todays result is just another part of that!
under hughton we now play a style of football that since christmas has been an embarrassment. I'd rather we drop and get a new positive thinking manager than the watch another season of this drab lifeless dross.
This particular game, maybe not. But is it Hughton's fault we are in this position? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
So everybody is agreeing that Hughton didn't do anything (or at least much) wrong this game, what is the point of all this vitriol? I also think Hughton has to take at least some of the blame for the position we find ourselves in but why start slagging him off when we actually show the kind of fight we need to show to stay up?
If you actually read my OP, i havent blamed him for today its just a general complaint about not putting our best players in the side as soon as there fit Would man u leave out a fully fit RVP, would spurs leave out a fully fit Bale? Ruddy is our best keeper Whittaker is our best right back Pilks is our best left winger tettey is better at the role he has used howson in
Yes, entirely. The way he has set us up previously has killed us as an attacking force. Even when the change was there today, it is ivery difficult to just change like that and be successful.
If he doesn't play ruddy vs WBA the guy in my eyes is a complete and utter clown Also, if kamara and holt haven't scored since feb (I think that is correct), then he must give bechio a go. I mean it's not working with those two The desperation for goals reminds me of 4 seasons ago when we went down from the champ, Cody macdonald being picked for the last few games. Look what happened there We can't score, we are really doomed I'm sorry
I meant to put that in brackets, but it was a pen My point stands about bechio and probably Jackson What's the point in buying bechio otherwise
Yes it is Hughtons fault that in that position. A position outside the relegation zone when most peoples favourites to go down at the start of the season
