Looking forward to a trip up next season and probably two closely contested games! Welcome to the never ending fight for survival and the amazing feeling of beating the bigger teams, we hate to love it at times, we love to hate it at times, but its good to see yorkshire represented once again in the premier league
Cheers. I took my lad to Wembley, I took him to see us win at the Emirates, I took him to see us win at White Heart Lane, I took him to the 4-3 thriller at Old Trafford and he's seen us promoted five times. Yet his favourite game remains our 3-0 win at your place. Though that might have changed today.
I have to be honest, it's also one of my favourites, maybe because we were at our peak in our first season in the Prem and it all went downhill pretty much after that. Funnily enough guess who we saw as we were queueing up to get into that game - a certain Steve Bruce.
yep and it shows how far we've come since that season really, 2008/9 was pretty forgettable for us! that 3-0 home defeat as you say was your peak and was one of many grim results for us. i remember zayatte scored, don't remember much else!
I remember it put us on 20 pts from 9 games and third in the table ! Shame we only managed another 15 pts all season from 29 games - ouch ! King and Geovanni scored the other 2 by the way.
yeah a real dive in form tbf, but i reckon invest wisely this summer and you'll give the league a good go this season. ah yes thats right, the premier league with mowbray was a bit of a forlorn affair in all honesty, i really did fear the worst coming back up in august 2010 especially losing 6-0 first game to chelsea, but its those sorts of games you crave in the premier league, taking the piss out their plastic grounds and hopefully nicking a result. winning at the emirates 3-2 and drawing at old trafford have been particular highlights
Didn't want to start a new thread so just thought I'd jump on this one. Congratulations lads, table doesn't lie and you definitely deserved it Can't imagine what you were going through today, absolutely mental! Good luck in the premiership!
We were there too, what a great day for us, i will never forget the look on the Baggies fans faces when were singing "getting mauled by the Tigers" - classic and best of all we were at Woodhall services on the way home and who walked in but only Caleb Folan and Andrew Gardner....unforgetable days!
