Tell me, why do Rovers fan have a childish obsession with dates? And "childish" is exactly what it is. After 1990 we Reds were constantly being bombarded with May 2nd which amazingly disappeared off the scanner after 2001! Why was that, I know, but for those who don't know, that was the date the Gas lost at home to Wycombe Wanderers and fell into the basement division for the first time.

You know as well as everyone else that Bristol City were formed in 1894 as Bristol South End, they changed their name to Bristol City in 1897 and in 1982 incorporated a new title "Bristol City Football Club (1982) Limited" when a new company was formed from a "shelf" company held by the Directors at the time, that "1982" title has long been dropped. Maybe a new company, but still the same club !!!

But let's have a little bit of fun and play along with you and let's talk of the last 31 years only.

During those 31 years, Bristol City have been promoted 4 times (Rovers only twice - in fact Rovers only have 4 promotions in their entire league career).
During those 31 years, Bristol City have played at Wembley 4 times (Rover only 3 times).
During those 31 years there was a period while Wembley was being rebuilt when the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff was being used and Bristol City played there twice (Rovers only once).
During those 31 years, Bristol City have played at Level Two (currently Championship) for twelve seasons (Rovers only three seasons).
During those 31 years, Bristol City have played in the basement division (Level Four) for two seasons only (Rovers have played there for 8 seasons and still counting!)”

During those 31 years, Bristol City reached the semi-finals of the Football League Cup losing narrowly to Nottingham Forest after extra time. In fact only the woodwork and the fact that the goalmouth was thick with mud stopped Alan Walsh coring what would have been a winner in the last minute of normal time. (Rovers have never ever reached the semi-final stage)”

The repost was sarcasm, not pissed off, you responded so no hooking up on my part was offered, where was a mention of who is the bigger club ? and no comment was made by me about your club, so why do you keep trying to justify it, I couldn't care less and this is a Bristol City forum, just to remind you and your compatriots, try keeping the wums to the appropriate thread...

 

That was a comment by a City fan in the paper, I put it up for the benefit of all to read, I'm accused of misleading quotes in a non existent publication, writing anti Rovers article to try and deflect away from City, of course all this is shouted by "gasheads".....

I am writing on the Bristol City forum, I've not upset them or visited their forum for 7 months and I'm still causing them grief, oh dear...
