do you feel the same about foreign aid and such like, same thing or do we walk away. benevolence should be ignored, i contribute to two things a month by direct debit to help others. goal line technology , same again ,managed ok without it so far , nobody has died because we havent got it. t
Well Chris it seems you aren't going to answer my questions. No surprise as the Premiership has no bearing on lower league teams. You're now grasping at straws with charity. What has charity to do with football? If clubs aren't self sustaining, why the hell should someone else pay them money? I think all foreign aid should be stopped, unless we have control of the end product. Far to often the money sent, is used to purchase weapons to kill their own people. Or worse still we actually sell them the weapons. The lack of goal line technology cost Lampard and England dearly. No one has died from the lack of it? You're a ****ing numpty!
the name is stuart or mac ,thanks it cost lampard and england dearly , well thats a shame it also won the world cup for them, didnt it . nice talking to you and evarybody else , now you are name calling , i wont get drawn into that
oh sorry , have you ever been to a charity game or a benifit game, it takes place to help others by others
Agree in general however its swings and roundabouts, today it looks like cisse goal was over the line but we had one against Everton early doors this season which they should have got against us. It's hard to take but today we were unlucky however the position we are in Is down to effortless players inept Tactics etc etc not the officials that would be a cheap excuse. Not that I see that in the spare of the moment
hope they didnt buy the units from matey boy who sold the golf ball locators to the ministry. who do you think will be the first to sue over a misfunction , somebody in the crowd will have a jamming device or the opposite
F*ck Sky. F*ck goal line technology. Less clubs went to the wall prior to these pumping money into it. We didn't have grossly overpaid footballers (would prefer servicemen to get decent wages) we didn't have all these dodgy businessmen taking control and we all kicked off at 3 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon. Football started with a ref. They get 1 view of it and that is it. I am sure the vast majority of them are unbiased and give it as they see it.We have all been wrong at some time when we review things on MotD. On another note I know this will never happen so with the onset of this coming in I quite like the idea of the appeal system. This too tho has its faults which incidentally I am not prepared to talk about at the mo cos av got summit else to do.
I shall continue to call you by your original name Big Chris. How on Earth did it win them the World Cup, Lampard hasn't won it? What has a charity match for some random good cause, got to do with lower league teams wanting something for nothing? I shall reiterate my question. If there was no TV money, would you think it acceptable for us with 40.000 plus crowds, subsidising lower league teams where the locals don't turn up? You wont answer because you know it would go against your argument.
yes if you think calling me chris is big or clever forget it, or cant you be wrong on that as well , look if it makes you happy and keeps you assured, carry on. cheers stuart/mac
Still no answer then Chris. Just keep spouting random **** that has nowt to do with the argument then. You're very good at it.
You couldn't make it more unclear if you tried. So you are saying that if the TV money wasn't there, we who do turn up, should give money to lower league clubs whose supporters can't be arsed to turn up?
Mag attempt was not over the line, so this time it was a correct decision..Pity they couldn't have got the correct penalty decisions right against Wigan and the Skunks..
Watched MOTD You're right Reg two clear penalties against Wigan not given. Bennet for Villa should have been off for multiple professional fouls, Hughton agrees with me! Didn't Mary Poppins love saying Villa was up for it after putting 6 past Sunderland. Skunks wasn't a goal, whole of the ball wasn't over good call linesman. Definite penalty not given against Collocini for the scum. Ref was looking right at it too?? Hahaha Partridge having a go at the local press, well that is going to get them on your side dopey twat!
If the money goes into infrastructure and youth development, then yes. If the money is just to buy players for the first team then no. My local club gets almost 200 kids practicing sports, motivates them to get good grades (you fail at school you don't play official games) and provides infrastructure for other sports and cultural events. This kind of activity should be supported by big and rich clubs.
Personally think that goal line tech is a waste of money. More goals are disallowed incorrectly through off side than did it/didn't it cross the line and I think this is possibly the first or second in the premier this season (36 games in) Waste IMO. Agree about the penalty decisions how they should be appealable (again more contentious decisions on these than on goal line tech) but personally I think it's millions wasted
I found this a very sad thread as it was mainly hinged on income and ignored the issues of the lesser clubs that are outside the EPL. If I recall rightly most of the counter argument mainly boiled down to tough **** as they did not have any support. In my many years of attending football grounds I can say that I have sat on the terraces at Sunderland, Newcastle, Liverpool and many other clubs just prior to the game and at half time; all clubs that were not doing well at the time so support reflected the lack of success. Sky have never been the saviours of football because of their money but the catalyst of removing the one thing that all clubs had at the beginning of each season and that was COMPETITION. There is a mini competition between the top 6 clubs because of the wealth of the clubs involved through continuing seasons in the ECL. The fear that is endemic in the bottom 6 at the moment is that they will have income reduced and cannot meet wages which leads clubs to lose players who in some cases are taken as bench warmers by the EPL survivors. End game therefore is - do not be in the relegation places. The rest just carry on the next season and spend Sky money abroad instead of maybe investing in lower division clubs. Result is English football loses.
