Clear gamesmanship. All their other home games managed to kick off on time and it isn't as if the crowd suddenly swelled for this game. Disgraceful for a so called top professional club.

The Spuds get a winner through Bale when they deserve **** all from the game. Southampton have been robbed. Shows how key the top 4 is for them cause if they miss out, Bale will leave. As long as we get something at United tomorrow that will do but then we need to beat the spuds at home next week.

Hate one man teams. Bale is saving Spurs' season big time.

EDIT - Hey what? Why have I become infamous? Have I done something wrong?

Bale is part of the team, is he not allowed to score goals or something? <laugh>

Southampton were never going to get anything there. The key thing is Spurs are not playing well and haven't been for weeks which makes us clear favourites in my view

We will beat them on Wednesday IMO. You can't beat a team like Chelsea with only 2/3 players in form.

Yeah they are a one man show but you saw how Southampton walked through their defence at times... Hazard and Mata could have a field day

Hazard and Mata at their best would rip any team in this division apart. The 2nd half against United in the FA Cup was as good as anything I've seen this season.

Arsenal are going to win this game at a canter so we need to get something at Old Trafford to keep the momentum going.

I'd take a draw and a win from our next two

Ditto. 4 points would suffice. There's no way we'd be on 69 points with 2 games left and not make top 4.

We could afford to draw one of our last 2 games if we get 4 points from Tottenham/United.

Just need to make sure our goal difference is better than Arsenal's at the end of the season.

Wigan and Newcastle's season rests on how they perform against Arsenal. If Stoke lose to Sunderland on Monday then the same applies with Spurs games as well.

Man Utd and Everton have nothing to play for. Villa are all but safe. Could really do with Norwich beating WBA, because that then means 40 points won't be enough to stay up. We need as many teams in the relegation battle as possible because unlike us, Spurs and Arsenal's remaining games are against bottom half opposition.

If Everton win tomorrow they will still have an outside chance of top 4 finish and they still want to come 5th as that will get them into European football so ain't that sure I agree. I agree re United though ... they cant get the points record so can well see you getting a draw at worst!

I think we were unbelievably lucky today to come away with 3 points and can see us coming up just short...we've only lost 2 matches in the last 18 prem matches which shows just how hard fought this race for CL football has been since December.

I will be disappointed if we cant get 4 points out of the next 6. We're cruising at the moment , but now is the real crunch time! COYB!!

Everton have no chance of top 4. Their season ends after tomorrow, win or lose.

If everton win today they'll only be 2 points behind us...so they'll at least have a chance of top 5 and europa league football.
