Next week is all or nothing then. No other way of putting it. Win or we're down I think.

and Bunn I'm afraid was culpable for both goals. He has no length and both goals were bent around him. ****ing annoying selection.

The reason we lose was nothing to do with Hughton's tactics... we were just unlucky to be mugged twice on the break when we don't have a player like Abonglahor or Benteke who can score goals out of nothing. It might have been a different story if Joe Bennett has seen red, or if John Ruddy had started or whatever else people will say, but the fact of the matter is Hughton needs to get the boys in for double training and we need to get the job done against West Brom.

And bringing simeon on for 2 minutes?? Clueless. God we are an awful team to watch at times. Especially if you can remember last season.

I was shouting at the screen by the end, every time we get the ball and start running with it, we stop, swivel, and then long ball and hope..

its soul destroying to watch us be so ****..

So, Hughton has made our defence so wonderful, has he? All we had to do was hold on for 10 minutes and the pressure was on Villa big time with a game against Chelsea to come, and then the game at Wigan. But we couldn't even do that.

Hughton hasn't made the defence better. Carrabuh is right 100%. He has just made the defence bigger.

I'm not going to criticize the team and manager too much for this, it was a lot better than he vast majority of rubbish over the last 10 games.

At least we showed some form of attacking intent.

and to think that several people thought that 10 points clear with 10 games to go was a big enough cushion - if only they had taken in to account they way we were playing <laugh>

Will we go down? Maybe but I will not be crying about it as performances of late have effectively prepared me for it. Week in and week out ineffective style of play has conditioned me, and many others, to accept that we are unlikely to compete to win a game.

Upset about it? Hell yes! We were very comfortable in December. I am not joining the CH out campaign but the pressure he is going to be facing now has got to be pretty extreme. Really would not like to be in his shoes.

EI really can't explain how upset I am. We did go for it to a certain extent but we shouldn't be in this position now. Because of infertile, dire, defensive tactics since Christmas, we now stare don the barrel of relegation. The Prem doesn't bother me but just they way we have surrendered all the good work of the last couple of years just saddens me.

No chance of Swansea doing us any favours, they've completely given up for the rest of this season.

Guess we will have to call in a massive favour from QPR to beat Newcastle, but again, no chance of that, as Rednapp has just stated that the entire squad is crap, not fit for purpose and isn't good enough even for the Championship.

We are totally reliant on others right now.

Holt is now responsible for: 1) Penalty vs. Southampton (that was the turning point IMO), 2) Header in the dying minutes today

Hughton you are one of the worst managers we ever had!

Are you for real? NOTHING to do with Hughton? How about not playing Ruddy? How about using up OUR time by bringing on Jackson in the second minute of injury time? The man is an automaton.

Considering you are one of Hughton's detractors, I am glad you have actually seen the point. If we can play well against West Brom next week it is still in our hands. I wouldn't want to travel to Man City needing a result, but this was not a poor performance and we are unlucky to get nothing.

I think the fact Newcastle have to play QPR still is the only reason I think Norwich should be worried, but there is still a lot to go against you to get relegated.

Uh... how would playing John Ruddy have helped at all? IMO, you can't say either of those goals where 'keeper error; one swerved away out of his reach and the other no goalkeeper in the world would have save. And the referee will always add extra injury time when substitutions are made and what is Hughton supposed to do when we are trailing? Sit back and watch us lose?
