I know, but as well as scales, i use the ol' tape measure a lot..so i'll be happy if that shows improvements...not sure it is though! lol
Going out at 8am to start walking...it's the big one tomorrow (today!)...20 miles...let's just hope i make it. i promise i'll go easy, and for a change i'll have company, so it could take a while, coz i'll be talking lol. I have bought a rain mac at last, so i don't mind if it pours again! lol.. see you when i get back
Have nothing but admiration for you - I personally find it difficult to walk at all when I'm plastered, never mind 20 miles
So today i feel great! i walked with one of the girls i'm going to Edinburgh with..the first time i've had company for the whole walk, and only the third time i've had company at all! What a difference! Not only that, but with the energy drinks, the blister plasters, the ibuprofen before we left, lots of water, a bit of chocolate and some dextrosols, i feel like i could walk more! We did 21 miles, though the plan was 20, but we went too far at the half way point lol. The weather was lovely, not hot at all, and although we did it a lot slower than i usually would have done, (5 hours and 54 minutes) at that pace, in those conditions, and with the aid of sugar, i know i can do the 26.2 with no problems! So, that's the last really long walk, next Friday is a 10 mile walk, and then 3 the following week, and then we're there...bring it on! View attachment 3400 i'm a very happy Hornette, who is in desperate need of a shower! lol
