Burnsy just been radio! I have thought this before! He can go left & right at ease so why not? Just something he's here'd from inside the camp but not confirmed
David Burns ‏@bbcburnsy 23m I'm hearing a 4-4-2 and unconfirmed but Robbie Brady up top? #hcafc
as much as I realise 352 has been successful for us... I think it's been obvious that our wing backs are so tired now that they either struggle to track back or to get past their man in the final third... I think this could be interesting. Not sure who will play left back then? I actually think Brady is going to be the hero. He had a terrible day at barnsley and expect a turnaround.
I can see the sense in going 4-4-2, but if Brady moves up top, then either our left back will be Dawson(which would be a he'll of a punt), Fathi(who's barely had a look in), or Rosie(who's a right back). It would seem a crazy move if it's true.
This isn't the game to be mucking about with formations. With that said every one of our players will already be well practiced in their roles in a 4-4-2. Seems set up to switch to 3-5-2 if we need to.
Mucking with tactics at a key part of the season umhh... . I remember Brian Horton putting Billy Whitehurst back to Center Half aganst Port Vale in 1984 after playing him up top all season. That one backfired and we ended up going to Burnley the last game of the season needing to win 3 - 0. Let's hope this gutsy move has the opposite effect.
just remember this, we knew something had to change before the game, clearly it's ben taken into account.. hope it works..
Is what i've just seen on Sky true? You are playing Brady up front and McShane at left back?! All I can say is good luck.
Everyone was crying out for SB to make changes and our attack needed changing most. It might work or it might not, but at least we have a manager who has the guts to try something new.
As soon as we scored Bolton decided to play. They pulled 2 back to make it 2-2. Blackpool need to hang in there. On the plus side, if we make it through then it looks like we play a Watford side without a keeper.
