Rafael Benitez the soon to be unemployed waiter, has said that he believes Manchester United won the League not because they were necessarily the best team but rather because they were the most consistent team. The Spanish Buffoon said: “They have been more consistent than anyone so they deserve to win the title but are they better than Manchester City? I'm not sure. Are they better than Chelsea? I’m not sure. Have they been more consistent? Yes, so they deserve to win the title but still you can beat anybody in one game.” Let me introduce you to a UK saying Rafa; sour grapes.
Ye won the league ye were the best team overall in the league, shown by the amount of points you got. But man for man, city probably edge it to be fair. Unfortunately you are a sad bitterness driven little sod who has always been unwilling to listen to any logical explanations that differ from your stupid static absolute unfounded beliefs Chelsea, have not been the best team, but they certainly have a better squad of players, City too. You are so willing to forget that Fergie makes the difference, he makes your team the best team. Sour grapes, If they were in the title chase then you could say that, they weren't so you are as usual talking bollox
Pathetic, bitter, failure of a man. Won't be missed when he ****s off for his latest spell on the dole.
Oh come on. You know full well what he means and it is something that is widely said by a lot of fans: Man City have the better players on paper but Man Utd have the team ethic. He just got his words muddled up, afterall, English isn't his first language no matter how good he seems to understand the ling! Still silly comments to make mind but I suspect he is trying an old media favourite of 'mind games' against his foe Fergie
It's actually pretty embarrassing that United fans still go mental and get wound up over his comments
He's a dick. Could have said nothing but chose not to so once again deserves everything coming to him. If his squad is so great, how come they are where they are? Brilliant CV though. Look at it, look at his CV!
I agree he didn't need to say it. That is why I suspect he as only done it because he faces Fergie soon.
I don't believe that City have better players on paper as I think we can more than match them with our first team. No doubt they have some class players like Yaya and Aguero, but I think the real difference lies in the depth of squads with United's being much stronger IMO.
He just says it for attention and to get his name in the headlines and make it look like he is trying to make a stand to Fergie and big himself up in the hope he'll get another decent job and pay check
He has nowt on Fergie, and is just bleating because he has no job at the end of the season. There is a pizza place near me looking for a waiter, will look good on his CV.
It's also probably lost on him that our average first team cruising to the league is testament to the brilliant manager in charge. The very manager he thinks he's having a dig at.
Our team is the best because that's what they are a team. City and Chelsea have a lot of 'big names' but they don't match up to our team which is shown by the massive points difference in the league.
Well done Rafa! If there was any doubt about United taking this pm' s match lightly then you've removed it... his idiotic winding up of United has ensured that the Chavs will face a determined team. Of the 3 teams in contention for the CL places, I'd like spurs and arsenal to get in. The Chavs have to get something the afternoon or they are in big trouble.
Probably also lost on him that when he took over at Chelsea they were three or four points behind us, and now they're around 20 points behind. He's basically done an Inter all over again
Benitez is ****ing useless. He has ruined every team he has ever managed. Even Valencia and Liverpool where he had success had dreadful squads by the time he left.
