Am I right in thinking that the last time we had a crucial game against Cardiff we won and went drinking with the Cardiff fans afterwards, and Leeds were involved in the other game we were looking at that day?

Notice the date in that article, it says Leeds were relegated the day before, which means our success that season (ie survival) was sealed on 4th May following a victory over Cardiff. <ok>

Exiting Ninian Park that sunny day, we received cheers and warm applause, thumbs up etc from even the roughest coves. Unprecedented and disquieting. It's true : we all hate Leeds.

(Contrast that with Stoke the previous away game when their dummies were spat out following a late equaliser <laugh>)

    City-1-2 Cardiff

att. 3,511 in the proper Div 2

Peter Daniel scored for us, last home game of season

They needed summat to stay up and got it. They brought two busloads.

No onesies or Ayatollahing that day.

It was a dead rubber for us. Hence the low turn out.

Just 3,511 there that day- ground capacity was still officially 42,000 i believe

Every spectator had his own personal crush barrier that day.

We also had a crucial game v Cardiff in the same season we beat them at Ninian Park to send Leeds down.

It was the home game in December (IIRC) and Browny's first home game in charge. We played 4-3-3 and hammered them 4-1.

    Turning point of our season.
