10 SFL clubs (I think it's the 10 that would make up SFL1), have said they want to withdraw from the SFL - they've sought independent legal advice on the normal two years notice you're supposed to give to leave. SPL2 is happening. Don't know whether it'll be good or bad.
I'm a bit confused as to what it'll offer them (the clubs). If I remember correctly, the SPL splitting from the SFL was all about the clubs controlling revenue (particularly TV and sponsor money). There can't be that much cash being offered for coverage or sponsorship of an SPL2. Maybe there is a big difference for them. **** knows.
The journos tweeting about it are careful to mention that Bjorn Again aren't part of this - it's the 10 teams that would've otherwise been SFL1.
Thistle will be in the SPL anyway but Dundee's acceptance to become signatories is conditional on them getting relegated. Sounds as if it's been in motion for ages.
What is the big rush for? Celtic will still romp the SPL and Rangers will struggle to beat part-timers.
Apparently, it's not going to be called "SPL2". The SPFL Championship? That's a ****ing riddie of a title right away.
****ing hell Has anyone read that Charles Green vision for Rangers that's just been released? Honestly, it's worse than floating pitches and casinoes. "A European trophy by 2020"
seen some of the edited highlights of it. Dya think him and Whytey were pished when they drew that one up? #chemosabe
I cannae find it on the BBC site but I saw it on Twitter when I was out for a smoke a wee minute ago. The last paragraph basically says they're going to sack McCoist. I think they'd been licking toads before they wrote it.
