I didn't think it was too bad. However, the players do have to put in the effort and commitment to stimulate the crowd.

I think the prozone stats would be interesting over the last couple of games versus games previous. The high energy and high tempo seems to have completely evaporated.

Hard to tell what nerves can do to the players, I'd have expected 1 or 2 to struggle, but not the whole team. It is like watching a car crash in slow motion. I hope the players were having words in the tunnel - that performance against Barnsley was completely unacceptable.

Comments Old Boy Allam made a couple of weeks ago if we didn't make promotion are resonating with me, we would lose the majority of our better players, plus finances that we had this season, due to FFP etc

The players owe it to the fans and the Allams to put in the hardest working 90 minutes.

The fans will hopefully turn out in good voice on Saturday but that can only last so long. If the team don't start well then you cant expect the fans to be singing for 90 minutes

In my opinion the biggest factor in getting the crowd to sing and create an atmosphere is gut busting effort on the part of the players. We didn't see that on Saturday and I reckon that's why the cheering evaporated until late on when they seemed to start trying again. I was also at Ipswich where 1,000 of us created a great atmosphere and gave rousing support to the team, in that game they ran and chased the ball and gave 100% for a lot of the game.

So it is the team that needs to get their heads into gear, chase every ball, give 110% and if they do I am convinced the crowd will back them with ear splitting support!

Remember the game against Leeds last season, the atmosphere was electric and the players came out fighting and with a real desire to win. We need to see that again to keep the crowd noise up. You know after 10 minutes what the attitude of the players is. Many others have put it better than me but they just have to come out in a more determined mood. How many times recently have we seen players not bothering chasing loose balls etc. If we see the players are giving 110% then we will behind them whatever the result. I absolutely hate any abuse towards the players and I shall be very ashamed and embarrassed to hear any. I can see a situation where if City lose in a sloppy manner then skuffles might break out amongst our own supporters as the more reasonable of us try and shut the abusers up because I am just telling myself that although it would be disappointing we are still 3rd and at the beginning of the season would have been grateful for that. I don't want the whole country to see the stands descending into chaos and the team do an end of season walk around the pitch to the sound of abuse and booing. Its going to be one hell of an atmosphere at the start of that game and gives me goose bumps thinking about it. No doubt anything that happens in the other game will filter through the crowd as well. I dare not dream because I have dreamt for the last 3 weeks and been very dissapointed. I am looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time. For all this talk it really is just down to the players, only they can give us the outcome we all want and lets just hope Steve Bruce can sort them out in time for Saturday.

Thing is I really don't think our 'bloody rubbish!' brigade can actually recognise effort on the pitch. They think if we haven't scored 4 goals it's because the players can't be arsed and the idea that maybe the other team are trying hard as well which makes it difficult seems lost on them.

Of course they want it and they're going to do all they can. Why would they suddenly start playing all half-hearted at this stage? The problem is we aren't good enough at scoring goals simple as. They'll do everything they can to score as they have done all season. Just please people don't start groaning and booing if we haven't scored within half an hour.

This. A couple of seasons ago I sat in the West Stand (AA W12) and there was about 6/7 numpties in front of us at every home match, that would just constantly slag the team off, it doesnt matter if we were winning or losing, McShane was still a "ginger haired ****", Harper was still a "fat bastard" and Simpson was a "lazy twat" ... and that was on a good day. Sure, none of them are technically gifted, but when they are\were on the pitch they gave their all for City. More than these so called fans ever did. Needless to say I soon ****ed off to the East stand!!

It seems pockets of fans just go for a good moan, like bloody house-wives!

I like to moan at games, love it in fact.

I like being stereotypical, at home it's the woman who does all the moaning.

In Yorkshire I can pretend I'm a Yorkshireman for the day (yes that includes broadcasting my pride of having Yorkshire tea and Yorkshire puddings and Yorkshire this and Yorkshire that)

I think they should all get together and watch Rocky 3, that will do the trick

It's a chicken or egg thing then. But would it do any harm,to have both ? Yes you might sing all game long, and the eleven might give you nothing. A lacklustre, none effort, devoid of passion and pride in the shirt.

But then again they might respond to the emotion, spilling down from the crowd. Do we have anything to lose ?

Anybody see the Lord Mayor's comments on twitter "you've let the city down".

    FFS! What a clown.

The atmosphere was class from City before the game and then one goal in the 4th minute ****ed it up. After that it was awful and people even started fighting amongst themselves.

The stands will be packed, but a team playing with some drive and endeavour will help things massively.

If Watford go 2-0 down the atmosphere in the KC will be incredible regardless of whether we have a shot on goal

I still remember seeming to be the only one in E4/5/6 with a radio that day and constantly being asked what the latest was as I was listening to the Newcastle game. Some twat decided to shout out that Newcastle were winning at one point though, we can do without that kind of thing tomorrow.

To be honest we have nothing at stake and really have no reason to stop you finishing second and getting promotion with us.

There is no doubt we will come and try to win the game but really your team needs to produce one final great performance for the fans.

    best of luck,

    jck

Agreed. I dont expect Cardiff to simply turn up and die but i am also not expecting Cardiff to bust a gut either.
Fraizer Campbell might do though but that is for totally different reasons.

Its all about how Hull City play. Well done on your promotion and title and hopefully see you in the PL next season.

How about making noise before and all through the game ?

I hate the " If the team isn't playing well how can you support them" attitude
