Harry reckons squad not good enough for the Championship and more likely to do a AWolves. Imbalanced and needs rebuilding...
i think the same, we need 2 gks (cesar, murphy), 2-3 cbs (Ferdinand, Hill + 1 in), 2 fbs (Boswanka + Fabio), 2 wingers (Townsend, Toilet) 3 forwards (DJ, Bothroyd, Remy). Thats 12 players minimum plus more if any other players leave.
Excuse me while I vent.... Had enough of this self centred berk. So he prepares his squad for a game, for which thousands of people have paid good money to see, by slagging them off. This season isn't finished yet you ****wit, you may not have any honour but my club does. How many of you on here have gone on about his legendary (I would go further, mythical) man management and motivational skills? I think the last 22 games have demonstrated what balls that is. Whats he doing here? Three things: - as always, toadying up to the media by giving them stuff to broadcast - putting pressure on the owners to give him loads of cash in the summer - preparing the ground to avoid blame if he doesn't get promotion next year "I said the squad was ****, I was only allowed to get 15 new ones in, so it wasn't really my team" This bloke, with his outstanding managerial record of 2 lower league promotions and an FA Cup in 30 years, is paid 3 million quid a year. Jesus Christ. You're being taken for a ride again Tony, wise up and get someone younger and hungrier in to build something rather than halfheartedly try to paper over the cracks with more of the same. I really am quite cross.
I tend more and more to agree with you on this Silvio. One idea I had for "youger and hungrier" was Solskjaer, but his team of Champions are bottom with 1 pont from their first 6 games!
We need 3 seasons to overhaul the club from top to bottom, build a proper QPR team and be ready to compete in the Prem with a new stadium. Even if we get promoted next season, my minimum expectation if we keep Harold, I think we will be in the same boat as the last 2 seasons, which have effectively been wasted.
Let's see what happens on Saturday. I would expect NOT to see any of the players who are believed not to have made a full effort. That would take us down to 11-12 possible starters I imagine!
Get rid of now he is being far too negative. Also worrying if its his tactic for spending bucket loads again.......
i think Harrys spin on next season, is by playing down our chances of a quick return so as not to get expectation too high, which brings pressure. He would look pretty stupid if he claimed we would return next season, and then fail. weve had a s**t season but lets get it over with before we start worrying about next season
Well he's at odds with the owners then, and the offish which said we were preparing for an instant return a couple of days ago. And what's the point of keeping him if that isn't the expectation. I'd be less furious if he was saying it'll be difficult, but its my job to keep us in the mix and make sure we are there at the end of the season. he doesn't have to say we will walk it. My bet - either we will walk it, or we will be out of the running by February, Harry will resign, leaving us having wasted another season.
Not exactly a great way to big up any players you're looking to move on. I'm not a fan of managers telling their squad they're not good enough. NW started that off and look what that did to our team spirit. We should be bigging them up - either to sell them, 'motivate' them or let them know they're wanted. Would you want to stay at our club when he could be saying that about you??? Not me!!!!
Put your toys back in the pram. Firstly everyone is fully aware that our squad does need a good chunk of reconstruction. Are you really disputing we have an unbalanced squad? We have about four squads worth of midfielders and about a ¼ of a squads worth of strikers. Theres a lot of deadwood/ scumbags with the wrong attitude that we need to sling out and we need to sign some new characters. Again do you really dispute this? Couple of experienced heads (Kevin Doyle going for free) and a Phil Neville or Scott Dann maybe and a few young players Charlie Austin, Jack Hobbs or Alan Judge maybe. As for the man management side. He wants to sling out a chunk and he wants to retain a big chunk (10-15 players). Surely you understand that heâll make it very clear to those that he does want to keep that he believes in them, there in his plans etc but that a lot of the waste of space need a boot up em and to be slung out the club. So those onside and here next year heâll do his best to get up for the game and the others he couldnât care less about insulting. Most striking example of this is Cesar and Green comparison. I agree he does get favourable coverage from the press but as for his managerial record. Heâs been a premiershp manaher most his career but with the exception of four years at an improving Tottenham he has managed Bournemouth, Pompey, Southampton and West Ham. So heâs not cgonna have any league titles and as for cup competitions, itâs harsh to criticise, I mean its been about 10 years since United won the FA cup. Calm yourself down and stop the unnecessary moaning.
