we cant afford to sack him, ideally a PL club would come in for him in the summer, we get a big pay off and we then get a younger manager to turn us around.

What a superb article. It represents my thoughts on Harry to a T.
Harry could of and should of given us much more than he did.
Instead we got a post match shrug of the shoulders, a twitch and a throwaway don't blame me comment along the lines of.....

'' There's not a lot they can do. They're not my players, it's difficult you know. They have to keep on trying, it's hard. But we have to give it a go. This is the most difficult job I've had, it ain't easy, you know. We come back in for training on Monday and go again from there. ''

Brilliant!

I'm hoping the Fulham job becomes vacant soon. It's our only hope.

Don't agree. Merson and Sheringham were inspirational signings. Players thought past it by most who got Pompey up. Our best chance of going straight back up is with Harry.. Now, long term..here lies the point.. long term ain't Harry. He has no record of thinking farther than the end of his nose. A lot of you talk vaguely of 'young hungry managers...' well who exactly? Long term, I think you're right but specify.
I say keep Harry, he'll get us up.. then.. for me.. Eddie Howe.

the more i think about it, the more i start to agree with this article.

Ok, dont agree with everything, but some frank honest points there.

Not a clue who to replace him with, but TBH I'm not bothered if he stays or goes. I just hope if he does go, its early enough to give his new replacement a chance to build his own team.

Gonna be an intresting summer.

There is no guarantee that a young up and coming coach will lead us to glory is there? I have mixed views on Harry, but I feel we should give him a full season and not get yet another new coach in. Stability is key imo and let's be honest, it would be quite a risk to replace the coach who pretty much everyone agreed should have been the England coach just 12 months ago.
I will support Harry and the team from the start of the season.....clean slate.

If he had been made England coach,we would be moaning about only being allowed to pick English players.

Only way for him to redeem himself I promotion at the first attempt.

Fair point Col, but I fear that, should we win promotion, we will be faced with the prospect of more of what we have suffered the last two seasons. A coach with an eye on the next 5 years could potentially alleviate, well reduce, that. Equally we could argue that we shouldn't worry about that until it happens.

Maybe we could view this as a win - win situation.

100% agree let's see a man just get on with it and bury his ego and just do a job ... Frankly his record at QPR is complete rubbish ... I predict an attempt followed by him leaving and our club will a further laughing stock

I support him when he starts calling QPR his team ... Take some responsibility Harold

Harold ?

Harold?

You dirty old man

This, we need some stability and consistency at the moment, we have had too many people with too many different ideas.

This does crystallize doubts I have but have been trying to ignore. HR has little pedigree for the cut and thrust of the Championship. The deal is done however so we can only hope and give him our support.

I blame the players more than Harry. He inherited a dressing room at war. They should have won at Villa. No one could have foreseen Samba's madness at Fulham, or predicted Zamora's head kick against Wigan.

2 lower league promotions and an FA Cup in 30 years. He has no pedigree. Where this bloke gets his reputation from is a mystery to me.

Hes the best of an awful group in english managers. It reflects on how bad the other managers are rather than how good Redknapp is.

I blame the Managers more than the players. Hughes brought in a lot of wrong ones, and then didn't get enough out of what he had. Harry hasn't got too much more out of them. I don't believe we have many more players who aren't willing to put in max effort than any other Club. If they aren't giving 100%, it has a lot to do with the leadership of the Club, and that they definetely are not playing well enough as a Collective is a very much down to the Managers.

It's the only way forward at this stage. Harry also still has to perform; however he does show more passion than most of the players that helped take us down. Agreed Col - it's about stability at the top - and, inevitable, change the rest of the way down... Clean slate here too - for the whole club!
