Agreed. Although I don't think we will get a result regardless, I feel a lot more confident we wont get a drubbing with Shaw in the team.
Now Shaw is fit, this is the team that I would go for: -----------Boruc------------ Clyne--Fonte--Maya--Shaw ----Cork-Schneiderlin------ Lallana---Davis--Rodriguez ---------Lambert------------ Subs: K.Davis, Hooivelt, Forren, JWP, Puncheon, Guly, Mayuka
Picks itself really other than the 2nd CB slot, I think it will be Hooiveld, rather than Fonte though, for whatever reason Pochettino has shown his preference.
Not sure Poch will drop Jos after one bad performance. Agree with the rest though, take davis off at 60 and bring on punch, shift Lallana into the middle to be creative. Don't see the point of 2 CB's on the bench though, how about a youth player for when we're 3-0 up with 20 to go!
Pochettino saying he and Nicola would reject a Europa League spot through fair play as "you have to earn it". Interesting.
Nothing to do with our squad currently being far too weak to compete in the league and take on Europa league matches!
With Shaw fit --------------Boruc------- -Clyne-Yoshida-Hoovield-Shaw ----------Cork--Morgan---------- -Lallana------Davis------Rodriguez-- --------------Lambert------------- That's the team I'd go for now
Can he? I've heard he can do a job at left-back but haven't seen any evidence of that. Mind you, haven't seen any evidence he can play centrally either
Just watched the highlights of the Chelsea, Liverpool and City victories to get me in the mood. We need to play like that and to also have the rub of the green that we had in those matches. Perhaps we needed the WBA match to get rid of any complacency...we need a win or possibly a draw and I would prefer it to be sooner rather than later. COYR
