Business as usual. No point wrapping them up in cotton wool, giving them plenty of time to think about the task ahead.
Make them realise what's at stake? It's hardly a new thing, it certainly won't affect anyone the day before the game and its good to watch...
The manager and a player do a press conference ahead of every game, why would this one be any different? So far... Chester: "We're all eager to get the job done and I'm confident we can get the win we need against Cardiff." Bruce: "We're in football to win things and achieve success. We've had a remarkable season and we now need to finish the job."
For some reason James Chester sat there doing a press conference reminds me of a dog sniffing round a dining hall looking for bits of food once everyone's left. Don't ask why.
Are you there LM? Thing that interests me most is how up for it they seem. Players like Deano and Ash, it meant everything, I don't get that feeling from our team at the moment. I realise that question might be a big ask from a press conference, but ffs, Im nervous and wishing tomorrow would hurry the feck up, then I'll be wishing we had longer probably!
We know it's a big game, they know it's a big game. Why expose them to more unnecessary pressure? They couldn't handle it when we had a seemingly unassailable lead against Watford followed by games against the leagues whipping boys. In this situation, which isn't an 'ordinary' Saturday game, Chester or a n other player would have been better out of the limelight until kick off. Just my opinion.
It looks like Gedo needs an operation on his foot, I'll be surprised if we ever see him play for us again. Koren may well make the bench tomorrow, despite not having trained.
No they couldn't. They're six points clear of the relegation zone, with nine left to play for and they haven't lost in their last six games.
