He's said that a few times this season only to be ruled out. He seems more optimistic about his fitness than the coaching staff! I suspect he may have been fit enough to play some more games but they don't want to burn him out.
Not sure about cork at RB, think we will miss him too much alongside schneid. Either throw caution to the wind and stick Target there or put yoshi at RB with the old jos/Jose combo in the middle. Agree with the rest tho.
Why has nobody mentioned Callum Chambers as a potential to fill the left back role on Saturday if Shaw is out. He is a utility player, highly rated at England U19 Level and captain of the U21s. I really don't want to see Jos in the team again, he has been well off the pace in the last few of his games and we all know that Jose is far more capable.
Chambers is a RM, converted RB so won't play LB, and he isn't captain ... Jack Stephens is. Other than that, I agree with you ... certainly an option I didn't even think of.
I think he's right in that Spurs will win, I can't however see us going three games without a goal. 3-2 Spurs
When you say "we all know..." I take it that excludes Pochettino, who has picked Jos ahead of Jose in the last few games. Jos was poor v WBA, but good in other recent games.
Agree with FLT about Jos, one of many poor performers against the Baggies but have to say.he has stepped up his performance as the season has gone on. If Luke can't make the game bring in the next best left back and not disturb the whole team by shuffling players around so we end up with 3 or 4 players out of position which will break up great partnerships like Snidders/Corky. If Fox was so much better than say Targett, I would be surprised so get him in the team and let's see what he is made of and we will see whether he is worth hanging onto in the summer when Fulham come knocking
Radio solents adam blackmore has tweeted this today #saintsfc boss Mauricio Pochettino reveals that Luke Shaw has trained all week and is fit to face Spurs tomorrow.
