Dickson's loan spell came to an end some time ago, due to his injury (broken ankle from memory). Week after the league cup final he picked it up.

I can't agree with that, especially as he has no future at Saints. I'd rather Targett played.

Word is Luke's back in training so very hopeful he will be fit to play! With the exception of Saturdays games Jos has been good of late but he had a stinker last weekend so wouldn't be surprised if Fonte came back in?

We basically have the two options of moving Clyne who is the one player that we do have capable of dealing with bale over to lb and then letting Bale rip apart Richardson, Yoshi or Cork. Or we leave Clyne at rb and we play one of Reeves,Hoskins or Targett. They would all give a solid display.

I'd rather targett had a rest after playing 2 games in 3 days.

Sound enough logic, but Bale hasn't played on the left since February.

Didn't look like Danny Fox was laughing very much? Was he rubbing them, or counting them?

    This, assuming Shaw is out.

The FL loan players have finished but might not be able to play because they aren't in the 25 man squad, I think. Reeves might be able to because his is U21 but more likely is Cork at full back if it got that desperate.

It says on injury table that Shaw has an ankle/foot injury with no return date specified.

Can't say whether Shaw is fit for Saturday, but definitely not seriously injured, so we should see him back before the end of the season.

Assuming Shaw is out I would play:

    Boruc
    Clyne - Fonte - Yoshida - Reeves
    Cork - Morgan
    Rodriguez - Davis - Lallana
    Lambert

Subs: K.Davis, Forren, Targett, JWP, Punch, Mayuka, Seager.

Unlikely but y'know. Think they'll probably beat us comfortably but we do well against the big sides normally so I live in hope.

André Villas-Boas: "They have beaten Chelsea, City and Liverpool, so we can only say good words about the work of Mauricio Pochettino."

true enough, he has been playing the free role, yet he does stay mainly on the left half of the pitch. Jos and Yoshi will struggle against his speed so we need our 2 fastest fullbacks playing sweeping behind and that only allows for youth team players. We have not changed our defence this season to counter 1 player, but will have to against Spurs as the counter so quickly which is a problem for all our 4 CBs. Is Turnbull quick?

Can't see Richardson anywhere either ... is he injured again!? If he wasn't so injury prone, he would have figured alot more this season imo

Someone has just asked Shaw on Twitter why he is unavailable for Saturday, he has replied "not true" - sounds promising!
