During the final stages of MoN's tenure certain members of the team were never off Facebook/Twatter/Press telling us what they were doing after training and on their 'Day Off', X-Box, Golf, BlueRay movies etc. (most of which they thanked the store in question for their free gift). They then went on to tell us how they would deal with their next opponents and how they would 'give all as a team to beat them'. Yeah Right! When a Manager is sacked, Players normally Twatter/Press about how good the Gaffer was and how sorry they are to see him go, they then speculate on his replacement and finally enthuse about the new appointed Gaffer. Due to the speed of MoN's departure and appointment of PDC this never happened, even during the first couple of weeks the Turbulent stirrings of the gutter press opposing PDC's appointment overshadowed any Twatter rantings or comments of the Team, they probably wanted to avoid the flack in case he avoided the sack. Prior to his first game in charge and regardless of his increased training meathods and the cancellation of their 'Day OFF' there were NO comments or very few postings on Twatter/Facebook/Press. We Played very well at Chelsea and were unlucky not to come away with at least a point. More intense training prior to the Skunks game and a notable lack of Twatter/Facebook/press postings, no Day off so no Stores to thank for Freebies, the outcome of this was 3 Fantasic Goals and more important 3 Very Valuble Points. On to Everton at home, very much the same senario as the build up to Chelsea and Mag games, end result, Another very good display and 1 goal with 3 points in the Bag. The Week that followed the Everton Game brought us........ PDC Gave the team a 'DAY OFF' as a reward for their hard work and Efforts. Certain individuals returned to old habits 'Villa was Going to be Easy, We Will be Safe with the 3 Points from the Villa game, we are a team brimming with Confidence...' Twatter was BACK!!!!!!!! The result was one of the WORST performances I have witnessed for a very long time. After the Shambles of Monday, it has been reported PDC went BALLISTIC in the dressing room, he promised that such an Unacceptable Display would be sorted out this week with More Intense Training untill it becomes clear to the Team that this sort of performance will NOT be accepted by PDC,The Club or the Fans. Since this Press conference statement it has been noticable there have been NO Twatter/Facebook/Press Outbursts from any of the Players (Even McLean has finally got the message). Is this down to the fact that PDC & Co. are training the little darlings so hard that they dont have the strength or energy left to Twatter/Facebook or is it they dont have the Time? The outcome of this is that given what has gone before and what is now presumably taking place at the Aol/Sol i am excpecting a far different team attitude and performance against Stoke on Monday. I think Bardo is suspended but will not be missed after another dismal display but Sess will be a Big loss there is no doubt, but no man is bigger than the Club. Someone needs to show he has the mettle and step up to fill Sess's boots. There are Players with clubs with the attitude of if they are Relegated they will just 'Sign for another big Team' with a massive pay off for leaving, increased wage and a signing on fee, QPR's Remy, Cesar and Cisse are planning to do just that as I write. What most of our players need to realise is they are just not that marketable and after either a first or another relegation with us or a different clubs their attitude/ability/age wil be questioned. They are now playing for their own Premiership survival as well as that of the Club's, and it is VERY QUICKLY coming up to 'Last Orders in the Last Chance Saloon'. So Come on Lads, Concentrate on WINNING, just remember this....................... STOP TWATTERING...START BATTERING!!!!!! FTM KTF
Good points fella. I shut down my FB and Twitter about a year and a half ago. They breed a nation of arseholes. Faddy sheep, living in each others pockets and queueing up like excited school girls to massage the latest narcissistic ego from the pop charts or sports fields. It's a dreadful culture and would like to see both FB and twitter banned for all players. maybe they'd spend more time training or gaining some good old family values be spending more time with the missus and kids. Rant over, lol.

Good post. I hate all the press bollocks before a game from players, bigging it up. whenever you hear them blathering on you know we're in for a shoeing ala Villa. I don't want to hear another word from any of the ****ers pre-match until the season is over and safety is secured. well done PDC for reigning the ****ers in. if they don't like it, they should **** off. let their football do the talking.
