Then hows about lobbying your MP or MSP to introduce a bill against freedom of expression or acting like a fanny?

One thing is clear, this Offensive Behaviour Act is not the tool to affect what you want. Before he died The "Celtic QC" Paul Mc Bride asserted that this legislation was not about people presenting robust opinions.

This about sums your attitude up. Happily ramble on about the same topic but refuse to actually debate it.

If you are too blinkered to accept that a large percentage of Scottish football fans find the political and religious side distasteful and see that distaste has contributed to the formation of the bill then you’re beyond reproach.

The behaviour of a minority has affected the majority. The bill was not created to criminalise or marginalise football fans but rather hastily crafted due to the actions of the fans and the clubs.

FAC have created this “poor us” atmosphere and seem incapable of accepting any wrongdoing from their side.

Just wondering why Scottish folk would sing it at a football match in Scotland ...

I'd say the majority have moved on ... a minority want to wallow in the past/about a cause that means **** all to them in real terms.

This doesn't matter to the likes of Rebel.

Nobody on here thinks the legislation is perfect, nobody on here thinks it has been handled correctly or even well carried out by the police.

Yet I'd say most of the SPL's fans think that some sort of legislation was necessary.

Sectarianism and drunken neds are a blight on our game, **** them. **** them right into a jail cell.

Then why not affect legislation that addresses sectarianism?

Singing about Irish Freedom has **** all to fo with that.

Like I said. If you don't like Freedom of Expression, lobby your MP or MSP to legislate against it.

I refuse to debate it? Stop talking ****e. I am more than happy to debate it. But lets frame the debate. You are happy to let Pud go with unsubstantiated assertions about Jeanette Findlay and happy enough to offer assertions of your own.

The fact is that this legislation purported to tackle sectarianism and policing of it is funded on that basis, yet it does nothing of the sort.

The sum of the anti-FAC argument appears to be "sit on your hands and you'll be ok" That is how it appears and after 4 pages it appears people are more interested in shutting debate down than entering into it.

It was still an unsubstantiated assertion.

I have substantiated everything. I maybe drew a conclusion too many on one assertion I made but I have at offered supporting evidence.

It is also clear as the nose on my face that this law is a nonsense. Acting like a fanny is not illegal, yet people seem to think that us what this law us for.

This law and its implementation are utterly ridiculous. I simply don't think it's as straightforward as "don't sing sectarian songs and you'll be fine".

Aye, you need to get a grip. That's why I said it.

There is already legislation in place for acting like a fanny and it can get you the jail.

Anti Social Behaviour Act Scotland 2003.

    Up yie.

And FAC are protesting against the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012. Indeed there are attempted prosecutions under this Act.

    So when you said;

Quite clearly these people are not being treated like fannies then.... Right?
