Football Writers Association Player of the Year announced.

Gareth Bale also wins this one voted for by football writers for the fantastic season he has had since January. <whistle>

Suarez got 2 votes because he was a naughty boy. <cheers>

    364. Bale got 53% of the vote, van Persie got 43%, Mata came third and someone voted for Rickie Lambert.

It's a worthless award, voted by idiotic journalists. Didn't they vote Scott Parker once?

Wasn't that around the time of the World Cup where he gave them all the "English hero" articles?

To be fair, at least they have the decency to call themselves "football writers" instead of journalists (reporting/distorting what you hear in officially aranged press conferences is advertising, not journalism).

actually the FW player of the year is seen as a higher award that pfa one.

their inbred racism is clear for all to show. not one balck player on the list. shocking!

Surely you were still not hopeful that Suarez would get POTY?

Rodgers, Gerrard, Carragher and other players had a very strong campaign to get him awarded. He just showed too much hunger..

Souness said it very well last night - players who have to lunge all the time simply aren't reading the game well.

This comment is more racism on your part tbh. Expecting black players to be put on for the sake of being black. Why is there a need to differentiate between colours of skin. The best players in the prem this season just happened to be white.
