I'm hoping that the owners will see sense, they should be able too see that once Rodgers had time to assess the squad he knew straight away where we needed strengthening, we done our deals early and got both Coutinho and Sturridge for £20M, good business that.

  3. Its not about seeing sense, its about the club being sustainable and obeying the FFP rules.

I'd like to think that Rodgers's deals in winter have helped his cause and the owners will now be willing to trust him further.

Buying players in January is always difficult - availability and cost are the two man factors but we managed to get 2 very good players in and for extremely good value.

These stats seem to suggest he is right footed:

    Shots on target with
    Header 40 %
    Other 0 %
    Right foot 60 %
    Left foot 0 %

But he does tend to start as the LCB for Swansea.

Skrtel has shown us that switching CB side isnt as easy as it sounds. As did Matthew Upson against Germany in 2010.

If Reina leaves, Madrid's current fill in... Lopez? Is it? Would be a decent option, despite his age.

  9. Being right footed does not mean they play on the right side though.

(seem to be taking this sort of stance a lot with your comments this morning <laugh> no offence intended <ok>)

We cannot afford to lose Reina. He is still a top class keeper who seems to have finally found a bit of form now. But more importantly, we can't lose his character - has a big presence in the dressing room.

The last thing I want to happen is to ship out experienced players like Skrtel and Reina but bring him some in small time replacement. As Gez says before, experience can be in different forms but the most important is experience playing for a big club (in their respective country) and playing on big stages.

After going through wishful thinking the other day, I picked up FIFA and oh if that team was real life....

    Gk: Reina
    Def: Johnson, Subotic, Agger, Enrique
    Mid: Gerrard, Gonalons, Coutinho
    Fwd: Farfan, Adrian, Sturridge

Bench: Sakho, Alex Sandro, Doumbia, Sterling, Pogba, Borini

    If only :(

    Webchat from James Pearce:

Unaware of any interest in Remy.

Another striker is on the shopping list.

    Carroll likely to be sold

Higuain rumours - massive wages and CL football. Seems unlikely.

LFC are having issues sorting out the travel plans for SA tour - final decision will be made in next day.

Rodgers is considering loaning out Shelvey and Suso.

Rumours of signing Alex Pearce are complete nonsense.

Genuine fears that Suarez will leave. Rodgers has asked him to stay. IT's 50/50.

Not sure if a DM is high on the list with Lucas showing signs of progress and Allen returning.

Rodgers will have around £20m + player sales.

LFC would like £16/17m for Carroll.

Downing will be going nowhere in the summer.

Thinks either Williams or Alderweirald will sign.

    Interest in Eriksen has cooled.

On Dalglish returning, Kenny had talks last time with Henry but nothing is imminent.

    FSG are 100% behind Rodgers.
