Good post ninian , key is " Rebuild " in an orderly manner & not quick fixes . I do want to add though if the the Malaysians wanted to " Play the situation well " they would have " Invested " 10 million to rid the Langston cloud over the team before the opportunity died . Every Cardiff fan should worry why the Malaysians looked that gift horse in the mouth & turned away . Between that fact & the lack of " Investment " two Januarys ago , so a few players could have been brought in for the final push for promotion , I wouldn't trust the Malaysians as far as I could throw them . Personally , I see them pulling out of Cardiff & cutting their losses before the season starts , just an opinion & do hope I'm wrong ( cheers )

Breezey - the fact that the Malaysians didn't bung Hamman the 10 mill to get rid of him was simply that when challenged by them, he (Hamman) was having great difficulty in proving the debt existed at all.

If it comes down to it, Hamman would have to pursue the club (new owners) through the court for its' recovery. Maybe the Malaysians have got bigger balls than you're giving them credit for and would take him on - there would be no lack of money to do so.

My guess is that the Hamman "debt" will be settled at a very low figure now that promotion this season has gone out of the window.

My guess is the Malaysians will recoup their money from Langston , turn over the club to Langston & take whatever balls they have left & header out of town . The only thing that can be argued financially is the interest on the loan , the actual loan payed Cardiff bills . The only reason Cardiff won't pay the total they borrowed is because of a Peter's signed paper , simple . Even so , it's 18 million & rising for a few more seasons . Just an opinion but time will tell whose closer to right Sparky , & not much time as it's all coming to a head for Cardiff . Goodluck

No probs breezey - opinions are what these forums are all about. <ok>

Don't see your point about the Malaysians recouping their money from Langston - do you mean Langston (Hamman) is going to give them their alleged £12M investement (so far) back in cash?

I know what you're trying to say, but with all due respect, I've been watching this club since Fred Dewey was chairman, not just the past few years via the internet like you.

I've seen them come and I've seen them go. I've lived through the Dai Goldstones, Tony Clemos, Bob Grogans, Rick Wrights, Kumar Brothers of this world as well as the Hamman years, and nothing would surprise me to be honest.

I'll be there next season for another ride on the big dipper. The question is are we at the top going down or at the bottom going up?

Good to hear your opinions about the matter - just hope you are wrong. <ok>

No probs Sparky .. My advantage is I'm not blinded by wishful thinking . Answer me this Sparky , how did the Citibank loan of almost 22 million get payed back , in around the time that 24 million was sunk into the club by Langston ? Maybe someone had a signed piece of paper that they didn't have to pay it maybe Lol !!

& don't get me wrong Sparky , the less you have to pay the better IMO . P.S. I think the Malaysians will take less than they've put in to get out , again just an opinion & Langston seems the easy way out for them . I hope they prove me wrong & get Cardiff soundly back on there feet for the new season , it's just that I have my doubts . Enjoy your summer & I hope it's a summer of good news . Cheers

Breezey - perhaps you're stated advantage is correct - but that doesn't make you correct. Maybe you're blinded wishful thinking the other way?

The Citibank loan was repaid from the loan notes obtained by Hamman - correct. Now tell me on what terms the loan notes were taken out.

I'm not going to argue with you, but you are quoting some correct facts to support your position with no knowledge of the legalities of the matter.

Time will tell - and I've got all the time in the world. I'll just say that in my opinion, the Malaysians are no mugs and will see this through.

Whatever, like I said, I'll be there next with my season ticket to watch Championship football in the flesh. If you are not around because you've gone up, then the very best of luck to you as well. Cheers. <ok>

Your the first Cardiff fan to admit the 24 million was borrowed , have a word with bluemoon for me will you Lol !1. I'm of the opinion that no matter the terms , the 24 million was advantaged by your club , end of . All that can be argued is interest on the money & payment plan in reality , totally away from the original 24 million that payed a 22 million debt that was about to get worst through interest at citibank . It was borrowed & used no matter how you spin it . Frankly Sparky , if we were to win on Monday , I wish we could sell our spot for 100,000,000 & stay in the Championship . A question for you Sparky , If you could have a guarrentee of either Bellamy or Jones for the start of the new season but not both , who would you take ?

Breezey - just stopped looking in here for half an hour to get the pizza in the oven - I'll be off in another half hour to eat it.........<laugh>

In answer to your question - Bellamy without a shadow of a doubt. DJ has had a go but there are too many question marks hanging over his head.

DJ and Bellamy are very close neighbours in Peterstone-super-Ely just outside Cardiff, but I don't think that will cut any ice with Bellers if DJ moves on - Bellers is a Cardiff boy through and through - DJ being here or not will make no difference to him.

Now I'm hungry !! . I wasn't really pitting Bellamy & Jones against each other but I was thinking the other day who would be most important to your club as a new season is planned . I think Bellamy would be my pick for Cardiff also only because Jones has spun all he's going to spin & has lost respect in the eyes of the rank & file over the last few seasons . Bellamy staying would really be a rallying point for the club & would stabilize trhe club in general . Thanks Sparky , I'm going to turn the oven on now Lol !

I'm not interested in any quick fixes and would rather the club continues towards a more sustainable business model. Perhaps I am over-optimistic about the Malaysian involvement, but I am pretty confident that they will stick around. And Bellamy staying would be a big boost, Echo headline appears to suggest that he'd be willing to play for free next season if we can come up with the money to sign him from Man City; obviously to be taken with a pinch of salt but could be interesting!
