Based on again exceeding expectations at the start of the season and a nice bit of silver ware won plus being wealthier than the clubs ever been and having players like michu on the books i think our current blip isnt that bad . Therefore i think we can risk giving Sir Laudrup another season to proove himself here eh !

Well if you cant see it then you dont watch the swans.... that's is what is being said on the terraces.....you cant keep a manager if he loses the rest of the remaining matches no matter who he is ......he even admits he is flabbergasted that we are still 9th and we all know the reason for that....we have been really lucky....

again if he gets his act together and we start performing to a standard that we use to play then yes give him a chance but should he not get us performing in the first 10 games and we find ourselves rock bottom then he has to go because everyone knows its very hard playing catch up as qpr has taught us......

The club must come first and foremost and there is many on here slagging the team and players off for bad performances in the last 3 months that you are blinded by such a big high profile manager who was the best player in his time and not questioning his ability to correct things.....We cannot afford to take chances if he keeps on as he is or before you know it it will be to late to do anything about it......

"we have got worst under laudrup and he cant carry on talking the talk if he cant walk the walk......He is proving that he has very limited management skills to manage a premiership team.....thank god Brendan left us in good shape"

and there we have the crux of it. The main argument for sacking Laudrup and Mr Rodgers is mentioned!
It's mentioned that Laudrup can't carry on talking the talk. This confuses me as from day one he has made us all aware of what our expectations should be. After the cup win he did not get carried away and promise a top 5 finish so I think it's a flawed argument against him.
As for his "limited management skills" I disgree here, we are top half in our second season in the premier league, yes we are on a bad run, Laudrup stated himself there would be good months and bad months.

I'm not entirely sure how long the "Laudrup Out" brigade have been supporting Swansea but I'm sure (well not entirely sure), it's long enough to remember the dark days of route 1 to Allsop for seasons on end in the rain at the Vetch (although to be honest I loved these days looking back!!) But right now we should be savoring the point we have reached, we will be in the Premier League and Europe next season and I'm confident of another top half finish.
I don't think anyone who truly loves the club wants Laudrup sacked, maybe just a few who love liverpool.

Norway, what I was getting at was Boro finished their highest ever position under Mclaren. Fans took it for granted and when they didn't do quite as well they got rid of him. Needless to say they haven't come close to hitting the heights they did with Mclaren. Moral of the story - don't get ahead of yourselves!

No! No way would I sack Laudrup, would at least need to see a ten game run next season, before contemplating a sacking issue, with our manager, I've come to the conclusion though, that Dai is simply nuts!.................<cheers>

I didn't realise that we have had 13 draws this season, which is one short of our 14 draws under Martinez, only difference is we are in the Premier League!...............<cheers>

PS: I stand corrected it was 17 draws, in season 2009/10 season!...................<ok>

Dai i can see your dissapointed that were not winning lately as we all are and the play has changed a bit from last season but keep your knickers on cause were no where near calling for the managers head yet even the mildrews around me on match day agree when they calm down and think about it rationaly . But theres defo a lot of work to be done with the team before next season and Laudrup may find a few gems like michu in the summer so KTF a bit longer !

For God's sake Dai - give it a rest! I know you are only trying to provoke debate but it is getting a bit predictable. Let's look at those remaining games shall we:

Manchester City at home - yes, we could get a result. Man City have nothing left to play for really having assured champions league next season, but we will have to be at our very best.

Wigan away - they will be fighting for their lives; not an easy game for ANY team!

Manchester United away - Yep - that'll be easy!!!!

Fulham at home - A very good team who will be looking to finish above us; home advantage but in no way is this a 'gimme'!

I know there has been a lot of gloom and doom on here recently, and I agree with a lot of the points that the doom merchants have made but, whatever our success, we are still a small team punching above our weight! Physical fitness should not be an issue, but life in the prem takes it out of players mentally, especially when pre-season targets have been achieved, even surpassed. I would be slightly disappointed if we do not finish in the top ten, but I would not be calling for Laudrup's head! That would be egregious in the extreme; he HAS improved us as a team and brought in some great players so judge him by his record over a complete season, not just the last few games! I abhor the sacking culture that pervades British football and the 'you are only as good as your last few games' attitude is a very dangerous one! Be careful what you wish for Dai - it could come back to bite you in the arse - much like Suarez from your beloved Liverpool! ;)

So then Dai, you want to get rid of Laudrup. Who do you want to replace him?

But where are your FACTS? You only deal with facts (as you often tell us) - so where are the facts showing we are worse under Laudrup?

I'll answer that for you because obviously you are having great difficulty in providing any.

    There are NONE.

    Cartoon!.................<cheers>

That season of 2009/10 was the season we missed the play-off by 1 point, due to not beating Donny on that last game of the season, when Trundle had a goal disallowed (Hand), and Kuqi missed that sitter! Sousa was Manager, not Martinez, got that wrong in my post 26, forgot Rodgers was with us 2 seasons!........<cheers>

    Team Line up

Swans: Dorus de Vries; Angel Rangel, Ashley Williams, Garry Monk (C), David Edgar; Leon Britton;(Lee Trundle, 80'), Mark Gower;(Gorka Pintado, 58'), Darren Pratley, David Cotterill, Nathan Dyer; Shefki Kuqi;(Craig Beattie, 70').

My favourite striker Pintado, how could I ever forget that season, under Sousa! 17 Draws..............<laugh>

Haha - was still celebrating Kuqi's strike even when I realised it had gone wide - initially thought he had hit it so hard it had gone through the back of the net! Yep, it was Sousa - spoke to Curtis about him after that season and all he could say was 'he was a bit of an odd bod!'

Was also a fan of the 'bull' Pintado - was it Robbie Savage he tried to cut in half with his flying corner flag 'tackle'? ;) <cheers>
