When there's no one else in it, that could beat him. Judd though looks back on track after a shocking session this morning, and is the one player who is capable of beating O'Sullivan, as he's proved In the past. I've just taken 5/1 about him, to big a price if you ask me! As talented as Ronnie is, I've never really liked him. A man who moans and feels sorry for himself, about playing snooker for a living. He really doesn't know how lucky he is
I agree with you on that his attitude is awful but his talent is second to none. 5/1 is massive for Trump probably because he's on a collision course with O'Sullivan, i think if he was in the other half of the draw you'd be looking at probably around 2/1
Ronnie can play all the shots when he's up against a mug like Bingham, but when the pressures on against 'the young pretender' I'm sure he's going to feel it. Ronnie has struggled in the past against Trump, and I can see it happening again. I am the kiss of death though on snooker, so I wouldn't get to alarmed if your on O'Sullivan. You'd probably have something to worry about if I was lumping on Ronnie at evens! One thing I know for certain, is the winner will be coming from the Ronnie/Trump side of the draw. Hawkins, Ding or Walden won't be able to handle either Ronnie or Trump over a best of 35 match. That I'm certain of
The winner of Ronnie and Murphy/Trump will be unopposable in the final really, their big Match experienced and skill level should prove too strong although If Hawkins can produce his perfect A game he can beat anyone on his day. Business end now Goodluck anyone with remaining bets
Hawkins has impressed me il admit, his safety is excellent, but I just dont see him having the scoring power to to get the better of Ronnie or Trump. It sometimes gets overlooked as both are such great potters, but both are also great safety players when they need to be
His match sharpness could trouble them. He isnt in the same league for being all defensive like Ebdon and Dott did when they won their Worlds, but he can score heavy at times. He has had a good if not spectacular season so far, but both Judd and Ronnie like to get on with it and Hawkins would be silly not to use that tactic against them... He will give either of them a game and probably has the better mind and mental strength for the long haul if he did get to the final. Ricky Walden could go either way really. Put up a great fight or just get wasted... In saying all that who ever dos win the Trump v O'Sullivan semi will win it...!!!
